    As far as the MOVE. Hopefully it will take in account the whole swing and not just timing. Will swinging high , low etc... Be accurate or even in the game with the MOVE?

    And yeah will we need a nav controller also?

    And like every year I really wish we could save rosters and or lineups out as a printable file to a jump drive or print straight from the game.

    Other things I've already sent to Knight (along with the print request).

    Cant wait to get my copy and forget "life" for a few days.

          In one of the CES videos I still saw one of those big bloop throws from the outfield when you are at the wall and don't use the cut-off button.

          This would never happen in real life. No MLB player ever makes a throw like that. If you forget to hold L1 during a throw like that or move the R stick too soft just make him throw like he would to the cut-off but then a player has to come get it because you didn't call for the cut-off.

            Just some background on this:

            I spent a good deal of time sitting with someone going over this as it has always bothered me as well. There are two things here:

            1) Camera angle
            -Believe it or not, the fielding angle makes a HUGE difference in how this looks. I think I spent over half an hour replaying the same play over and over and the throw does look different depending on the camera angle. Just something I want people to keep in mind. With that said:

            2) Fielding system
            -Throws are tied into catches and this is part of the reason there isn't a user controlled cut. So when you make those ridiculous throws someone wouldn't attempt in real life (flat footed from the warning track to home) you end up with the catcher running towards in infield dirt to field the ball most of the time.

            It's not the easiest thing to have changed but all I can tell you is that it was worked on and they will continue to work on it to make it better.

              Will there be tweaks to routine throws to 1st base? As it is now, the majority of routine throws seem to be either way high or way low. Would like to see more throws to the chest. In no way is this a gamebreaker, just wanted to throw it out there.

                    I think everyone applauds the re-write to the ball physics engine, but my main concern is that there aren't any additional camera options which show off ball flight.

                    The fielding cameras we've had for 13 yrs have (low, med, high) show the ball leave the top of the screen and we watch the ball's shadow. Not very interesting in my opinion, especially those of us who have bought the game for a decade or more.

                    Question is, could you please check if there are user-defined cameras, and/or cameras which are maybe 2nd deck level which would show more ball flight? I play with auto-fielding, so I would love a fans-eye view of the ball in play.

                        There is a broadcast camera for fielding as well that shows ball flight more.

                          Do the new ball physics also affect throws? For example, when an outfielder throws to the relay man, is it possible that the ball will 2-seam a little instead of being a "seed" every time?

                          ..for all I know, this could already be in 11 but maybe just not that apparent to me.

                            Correcto, but if you look at some of the gameplay footage (maybe it was the ATL/WSH vid), there is definitely more accentuated tail on throws from the outfield. It looks pristine.

                            I personally wonder if throws will be affected by the wind, if they aren't already.

                              Fantastic. One of my favorite plays in baseball is a perfect relay for a bang-bang play. Whether the runner is safe or out, it doesn't matter. A great play all around. The added element of wind would only make it better.

                              Edit: Just watched a replay I had on a relay and could definitely see a tail on a throw. Pretty cool, can't believe I didn't notice it before.

                              I guess I'll ask a related question since you kind of answered the one I had..

                              On plays at the plate, are we able to decide whether or not to cut the ball off or let the ball sail through to the plate? In '11 we have two choices when throwing home (from the outfield): throw to home or throw to cutoff (1b/3b).

                              UPDATED POST (1/17): Another question I have about gameplay has to do with player's momentum. Specifically outfielder's momentum on dive attempts. I've always felt (and this could possibly be just me) that when an outfielder is running full speed and attempts to make a diving catch that their dive doesn't quite carry as much momentum as it should. It's almost as if they jump up to dive and all their speed and weight goes out the window. Basically, I'm asking, has this been improved upon in '12? If you need further clarification on this question, feel free to ask. I can provide video if you'd like.
