I could have sworn I already asked, but I searched posts by my own username and it doesn't look like I did, so apologies if I am repeating myself:

Has Roster Management (outside of franchise mode) been facilitated at all? Can you do one-way transactions, 2-for-1 player movement etc...?

Is there an option for sleeve color now?

If so it should be Team Default, White and Black.

Good question! This would be a nice addition as its getting a little stale with everyone having the same style glove! Not realistic at all. Later

This I believe was answered. They do have colored sleeves in this year.

The logic is written to begin with spring training and adjust rosters for the start of the season.

Now you all say, well make an option to not have spring training and just skip to the season. Here's the deal it's really not that easy. Knight and I asked to have different transactions tagged in different colors and that, as simple as it sounds, requires more programming.

Everything is tied to another and requires extensive programming, change one thing and break six others. What everyone is asking for requires EXTENSIVE changes to logic.
So is this the final word on this issue? Are we going to have to do the same 40-man roster workarounds to start our seasons/franchises with opening day lineups?

It's not that big of a deal to me, I'm just curious.

Still 1 for 1 OUTSIDE of franchise mode(in just roster editing)

I believe it is the same. I don't think they changed the logic that prohibits the CPU from deciding on the 25 man roster from the 40 man that is present at Spring Training and that is what changes the lineups.
Now I did see that lineups in simmed games match the lineups that were set, but that is another item altogether I would say....so yes....you'll have to set the 40 man on day one...or set the lineups on day one.

                  No.....import/export just when editing rosters.

Any idea if historic players are in the game or can be created? It was possible to create some great historic rosters in 11 although if I'm not mistaken a patch prevented you from creating historic players with their real faces at some point in time.

                        There are none.
If you want them, you'll have to create them yourself from scratch.

That's proof you have no idea how many people play the mode.

As far as a "ton" of time, baseball games for years have had a manage mode without the bugs which remain in this one year after year. High Heat baseball had it a decade ago. It would not require any breakthrough code to allow the human player to manage his own team without interference from the cpu.

But thanks for the reply, at least we know where we stand.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Russell doesn't actually believe that literally only five people play that mode, and that he was merely exaggerating.

No I'm being serious there are literary 5 to 15 people who play the mode. There are hidden trophy's in the game and one of them is playing one game of MOM or loading into MOM one time. This hidden trophy was only unlocked about 15 times last year which means out of the hundreds of thousands of people who played MLB 11 The Show while logged into PSN. Only 15 of them total ever played one game of MOM.

As much as I like to disagree with you...I can't.

I'm a huge MOM player and probably one of the 15 that unlocked that trophy last year. BUT your spot on, not a lot of players play that mode. I'm just fortunate that Sony decided to keep it in this long. BUT I wish there was more players to this mode because we could demand a lot of things added. I'll be happy if they just clean up some of the bugs in MOM from last year.
