One thing that stands out huge is it's tougher to make decent contact with the ball on the Vita. Used my Vita sliders on the PS3 and I transformed from a minor league hitter into Albert Pujols. Like the game better on the Vita. It's tougher to hit, field and make good throws in the field. My pitchers are more effective on the Vita though
This game doesn't have rain delays or double headers.

I love the Vita for RTTS. It has definitely made me a better hitter on the PS3 with regards to pitch selection.

I have an issue where I'm Too Early or Too Late way too often. I just can't pick up the different pitches! This leads to my 35 K's in 100 AB's so far...

      BABIP is about .500!

I just noticed this yesterday, so excuse me if it's been mentioned before:

I was playing a game, Mets (CPU) @ Rockies. I had runners on 1st and 3rd with 1 out. I roll over on a pitch and hit into a 6-4-3 double play to end the inning.

        Nothing wrong there.

When I come up to bat again, the batter that hit into the DP was leading off. Has anyone else seen this?

Actually, I think this happened to me last night on the PS3 version. I just wrote it off to me being tired and assumed that I just wasn't paying attention.

If this has happened to you as well, then perhaps I'm not insane! Or we're both nuts.

I also hit a triple last week and had the player just... disappear. He was still credited with the triple in the box score and no out was recorded, but he just wasn't on base.

Well, I've been accused of being off my rocker, so who knows? But, I'm pretty sure I did see things correctly in this instance.

I don't go into the Bugs and Glitches thread, but may have to post this, just to have it on record.

As far as the attributes and how it plays go, it should be a dead ringer since it's the exact same file.

The faces are going to be a mixed bag. The Vita simply lacks the face-shaping detail options the PS3 has, so they're not going to look as good.

Again, this is from the exact same roster file.

I think that's something Vita guys are just going to have to live with. But really, there's so little presentation in the game that you're not going to be staring at players' mugs for very long anyway.

I know this is an impressions thread.....but I am considering buying a Vita and would like to know what accessories to get with it. Unless otherwise directed, I'm planning on getting the Wireless Vita.......I'm looking for guidance as far as memory cards and vita cases/screen shields,etc.....I'm buying a vita strictly for use to play MLB the Show on and am looking to minimize the cost....I got $300 for my birthday, hoping to keep the final cost close to that number........Thanks in advance.

Check out the Vita thread in the console/ portable talk forum. I'd link it but I don't know how to on my phone.

Anyone been able to download the OSFM file (not via the vault) and then transfer it from their PC to the PSVita?

I cant get into the vault being in the UK my online code wont work, but I can transfer the roster file... well I hoped too, but all I get is corrupt file error.

                        Any help appreciated.

I tried transferring from my pc to Vita and I also got Corrupted Data so I ended up just getting off the vault. I also tried syncing the ps vita with the Ps3 but that also didn't work

Thanks. But how do I control individual baserunners? For example, runners on 1st and 2nd, and I want the guy on first to take a bigger lead? How do I specifically select him to lead off? Same for baserunning? I sometimes have a player on first, the batter hits it to the outfield, I have the lead runner going to third and the batter turns for second. He is going to get thrown out at second, so I try to send him back to first, and the other runner, who was practically on 3rd turns to run back to 2nd also...

I am sure I am not understaning the controls....but where do I find some instructions?

I think I get what you're saying, and that's a good question. I tried it, and the faces do indeed go back to being correct on the PS3 if you download a Vita cloud save.

                                What I mean is:

Say you start a franchise on PS3 and eventually cloud save and bring it to the Vita. While the file is on the Vita, the faces will be messed up (because of the Vita's CAP limitations). However, when you send the file back to the PS3, the correct faces will return. The data for those awesome-looking faces is never lost or deleted, it's just unusable on the Vita. Once it's back on the PS3 all the detail comes back.

Similarly, even if you start a franchise on the Vita the faces will be messed up, but when you send it through the cloud to the PS3 the faces will display correctly on there.

                                Hope that helps!
