Is it just me (hope not) or when scrolling through roster control, if the player is not a SCEA created player and is a customer or generic player then it takes longer to go up and down the player list. Like it's normal if it's mlb players, but it takes a couple seconds longer to go to the next person until the custom players face is loaded.

Using a US account to play this now. Bit of a pain, but atm its viable because I have 2 memory cards and no other game I have I play .. so dont need the UK access.
Still I hope Sony (as a company) unlock the Vita to allow more than one account at a time like the PS3... I dont blame the Show as at the end of the day the European market is tiny for them and they wont get sales data as we all import from the States anyhow.OS Baseball Dynasty ::

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Vita Impressions Thread
I think I get what you're saying, and that's a good question. I tried it, and the faces do indeed go back to being correct on the PS3 if you download a Vita cloud save.
What I mean is:
Say you start a franchise on PS3 and eventually cloud save and bring it to the Vita. While the file is on the Vita, the faces will be messed up (because of the Vita's CAP limitations). However, when you send the file back to the PS3, the correct faces will return. The data for those awesome-looking faces is never lost or deleted, it's just unusable on the Vita. Once it's back on the PS3 all the detail comes back.
Similarly, even if you start a franchise on the Vita the faces will be messed up, but when you send it through the cloud to the PS3 the faces will display correctly on there.
Hope that helps!5Comment

Some look like they got stung by bees in the face.

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Vita Impressions Thread
Thanks. But how do I control individual baserunners? For example, runners on 1st and 2nd, and I want the guy on first to take a bigger lead? How do I specifically select him to lead off? Same for baserunning? I sometimes have a player on first, the batter hits it to the outfield, I have the lead runner going to third and the batter turns for second. He is going to get thrown out at second, so I try to send him back to first, and the other runner, who was practically on 3rd turns to run back to 2nd also...
I am sure I am not understaning the controls....but where do I find some instructions?
Hope this helps!

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Vita Impressions Thread
Does it rain on the Vita version?
I've run nearly 100 CPU games and still haven't seen any. To be fair, I don't watch every game, but I do have to watch enough of them for "sleep mode protection."
Am I missing it, or is rain only on the PS3 version?Last edited by Heroesandvillains; 04-05-2012, 05:37 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Vita Impressions Thread
For people playing season/franchise on Vita...
Have you guys been seeing rain days often enough? Well "often" is subjective of course, but after playing roughly 300 CPU vs CPU games in April exclusively on Vita, I think there have been only a couple rain days.
This was a bug in 11, but I thought was fixed (at least on PS3 I believe).
If people are seeing the same issue, I may file a bug report....
Any consensus on this yet?Last edited by Heroesandvillains; 04-05-2012, 05:36 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Vita Impressions Thread
I'm actually wondering if it was done on purpose? Considering the small screen, and occasionally blocky graphics, I could see how it could make picking up the ball (fielding and hitting) more difficult than necessary.
Hopefully a Dev will see this and confirm one way or the other.Comment
