i am aware of that.

but i can see the ball fine in home run derby and batting practice and there is always the ball indicator for my fielders to run to...still do not understand why they don't allow the option.

i still cannot get over this and if they cannot supply this option i have to take this game back as well as the ps vita as this ruins it for me. i really thought they did a great job with this version but this softball is ruining my experience what's worse is it doesn't seem like there will be an option. i am gonna have to call customer service and politely ask what is up with the no option.

Me too man!!!!! I'm stomping right over to my phone and calling customer service over a couple pixels!!!!!!! How dare they!!!! This is unexceptable!!!!! The game is unplayable!!!!!! The Vita is doomed and ruined!!!!!!

It's a great game man, just enjoy it and stop stressing over such minutiae.

P.s. I know I know it's not minutiae to you and I respect that, but it's just funny how big of a deal you've made out of it.

One thing that I do hope for next year is that they lower the sensitivity on the analog when pitching.

Have you actually changed the difficulty setting or just the sliders? I ask because when I first got it I was more or less having the same problem scoring runs (Vita). I finally dropped down a difficulty and now after quite a few games I'm thinking about moving back up.

Also, ten games is a small amount to get used to it. Are these exhibition? If so, are you changing the CPUs pitcher or are you facing each team's #1? It does make a difference.

Im ready to toss my vita and this game in the thrash. Ive played about 10 games and while i have won about 6 games and lost 4. The problem is that I can not score more than 1 or 2 runs per game, I have tweaked the sliders, changed camera views, ive tried it all. Im not having a problem making contact, i dont strike out often my problem is that everytime I put the ball in play its NEVER a multiple base hit and NEVER more than 1 hit in a row. The only runs I plate are homers. This is getting old, I take almost every game to the 7th or 8th inning where my pen either holds up or collapses. Its almost comical except for the shear frustration of playing a 40 minute game only to blow a tiny lead or to lose 1-0 or 2-1, i havent even had the satisfaction of putting up a big 4/5 run inning. WTF is wrong here?

I'm somewhat okay with the "softball." What I find curious, however, is that I really don't remember this being done on the previous PSP versions (and I bought a copy every year). If they didn't need to do it on the PSP then why the necessity for the Vita.

If it actually helped me hit on the Vita then I actually might be in support of it. But I suck even more on the Vita then I do on the PS3 .

LOL i am trying not to make a big deal out of it but it is not absolutely necessary they make the ball big for everyone and disable the option to change it.
I payed 300 plus dollars to play this game while work isn't busy and i am suprised and heart broken that they would do this. To me this is a big deal because the object of the game is based around the ball. But in this version it's based on A HUGE FAT DOUBLE D softball...

i am really not one to nit pick because this game is great i have it for ps3 too and i can see how they would cut down on presentation etc but NO option for ball size...I DO NOT UNDERSTAND the logic. Personally the big ball gives me a headache as it sort of just glares right at me from the screen. I am personally admitting this is a big deal to me and a real deal breaker...

You can turn API on and the indicator will come up. Woodweaver mentioned there might be a way to bring that icon up with API on default, but I don't think anyone ever figured it out. Hopefully, it's something that could be patched in.

I think there's more power on both the HUM and CPU side on the Vita.

Larger Ball.

It's only enlarged once it's put in play. A couple recent posts makes it sound likes it's like that all the time. The larger ball doesn't make it easier to hit the ball on the Vita because, well, it's not larger during ABs. Also, seems like an enlarged ball would make it easier on your eyes, not harder (someone mentioned headache-inducing). I have 20/10 vision (thanks to LASIK) and I have no problem with it being larger. I have no problem with there being an option to turn it off, but not a huge deal either way to me.

What I ended up doing was using the Veteran setting (disappointing since ive played HOF for years on the PSP and PS2/3) I moved all the sliders to max contact, power, timing and set the pitch speed to min. This has made a huge difference, now the game plays like the show 09 for the psp which was a ton of fun.

I don't get The Show, some years out of the box it plays great, then there's other years where you have to make insane slider adjustments.

Anyone know if they have come out with any patches or upgrades yet? Do they plan on making certain changes to the game play, like the option to select a different fielder when the ball is in play, also a way to slow down the game, I love this game but it feels like a beta version more than anything else.

I was going crazy trying to figure out how to switch to a different fielder...lol. After awhile I just figured they didn't have the option in the vita version, which is very puzzling to say the least.

So there is no option to switch fielders in the vita version correct?

2 months into my season. When a batter comes up to bat it shows his avg, hr, RBI on the screen . How come it's not showing that little blue icon saying 1st in avg or 10th in hrs? Does the vita not do this while playing a season? I know they do it for exhibition games with last years stats.
