Yeah but they're usually tough. Although last night I played a game where I earned 5 against Seatlle. Don't remember the pitcher. I'm sitting about 17th in the league for walks (PS3/Vita season) so I'm pretty happy with it right now but I feel I could get more if my pitch recognition on the Vita was better.

It seems lately that even with adjusted sliders (CPU Pitching at 3-3-3) on All-Star, the CPU throws 70-75% strikes and I'm lucky to get 1 walk a game. I don't chase too many pitches out of the zone, so I'm kind of at a loss since getting on base is kind of important in baseball.

Plus, the fact the CPU throws so many strikes boosts their confidence very early and it makes it tough to get hits off of them.
Try Strike Freq at 2 or 1.

I don't know if I'm just in a funk or what but I just can't buy hits right now. Just got dominated by a pitcher that throws 91mph 4sfb, which I usually destroy, but couldn't muster but 2 hits. ugh.

Me too, Matt. My offense is horrid. Not sure what's happened. A week ago I was mashing and was contemplating bumping up to HOF b/c I was scoring too many runs and now, I can't hit .200 as a team.

But even the very first PSP game had home run celebrations. Out of all the things missing in fast play, the ONE thing that bothers me is no home run cam. It's like it basically didn't even happen. But besides that, I like this game. Not love, but like. I expect Sony to blow us out of the water with MLB 13. The cloud thing is a big deal, but it's so dadgum early for the Vita, so issues like this are expected and I can excuse them. It's just disappointing because I wanted to start a new RTTS since my old one froze, but I don't know if it will transfer. I like being able to rush through the minors on the vita then play actually on the ps3 so I can enjoy the celebration. Instead I made a pitcher that I exclusively play on the vita. But overall it's a pretty good first incarnation.

I can't seem to hit to save my life on the Vita but I'm killing the ball on PS3. Any tips?

I had to lower the hitting difficulty from HOF to All Star in my season and after I did that, I seem to be drawing more walks. It's intriguing.

The Vita is basically a PS3 though. The Vita has 8 cores - 4 for the CPU and 4 for the GPU. They both have 512MB RAM. It's not like the Vita version can't handle field wear, dirty uniforms, and a full presentation. The developers just didn't get around to doing it probably. That mobile handheld excuse doesn't hold much water considering how powerful the handheld devices are now.

                            30 FPS vs 60 FPS
While running at 30 FPS doesn't seem like a big deal, when the 5" screen is factored in, it becomes quite a big negative.

Fast Play Only ( No Presentation Options )
MLB The Show is known for certain things like the HR follow through camera views and likelike cutscenes, but all that is missing from the Vita version. For instance, when a HR is hit, the game goes right to the next batter like nothing happened. There's no camera watching the player rounding the bases or celebrating with team mates.

                            Oversensitive Left Analog Stick
Good luck aiming your pitches with the left analog stick. This seems like something that could be fixed with a patch, but will a patch even be released for the Vita version ?

                            Graphic Details
Uniforms never get dirty and the field never wears. This is minor, but still something that makes MLB The Show what it is.

The Vita version is good but should be great and could possibly be amazing. The PS3 version is superb.

My righty vs righty, lefty vs lefty avg, is far better on the vita than the ps3.

Though my bavg as a whole has suffered lately on the vita.

And now seems to be suffering on the ps3 as well as I've been able to hit a fantastic 17 hits in my last four games.
