Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Jack Zduriencik went H.A.M in my RTTS. I'm a lefty SP with the Mariners. Bought some training points so I can be a fireballer, and have a breaking ball that puts the fear of god in people's hearts, but I left my control and K9's alone, so yea...it's pretty wild sometimes. But I digress...
In my two years so far, we traded for Manny Machado & Dylan Bundy, Shelby Miller, Carlos Correa, and I believe Courtney Hawkins (Correa was previously in a deal to the White Sox for Alexei.)
On top of all of that, we still have Montero, Smoak, Ackley, Zuniho, Walker, Hultzen, Saunders, and I think Paxton is still there, but I'm not 100% sure about him, and of course The King is still the ace.
It was like the perfect storm of teams contending and wanting some playoff-push help, and mortgaged their future for that shot at the post-season. I guess you can say it also shows a weakness in trade logic since there's no way the O's would trade two A-grade prospects in one move like that to try to get to the playoffs. But damn....my team is busting at the seems with A-grade talent.
While I'm excited about 2K13, I'll probably keep this RTTS going as long as I can, maybe even past the next MLB: The Show. I really wanna see what kinda dynasty the Ms become.
I mean...the rotation right now is Felix, Miller, Bundy, Hultzan, Walker. When I get called up, someone is coming out of the bullpen...that's disgusting.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I got up to bat against the Yankees in Yankee Stadium ( I am on the Red Sox ) not paying attention to who was on base or what the announcers said, I fouled off the first pitch, second pitch hit HR to left center field. Now you wonder whats so great about that well it was my first Grand Slam, I have tried so hard, so close to get and finally it happened, it was my second HR of the game. Next game I got 3 HR's so it was a great day at the ballparkWhen you come to a fork in the road, take it..... Yogi Berra
Boise State Broncos
San Francisco 49ers
St. Louis Cardinals
Chicago Blackhawks

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
so i have this crazy obsession with making a closing pitcher that uses todd jones' movements from when he played with the tigers but havent been able to get his movements and such since he's been retired from the game but with my player being usually a southpaw i read on the forum for 2k12 that increasing stamina will lessen the chances of throwing wild pitches..i guess my questions i might have would be 1. why is it that if i'm the closing pitcher for an organization in AA that when i get bumped up to triple A i'm in their bullpen usually as their first setup man. and 2. would stamina be better to increase over say the control features of a 4-seam or cut fastball? any suggestions to help me better my created player will be helpfulComment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
With my RTTS pitcher, I started out as a closer. During AA and AAA I was the team's closer. Now in the majors (it only took me a year and a half) I'm the Jays middle reliever. When they put me on in the 6th, I do a good enough job to finish it out for at least get 2-3 innings of work. If I improved my player's stamina, will I ever have the chance to be a starting pitcher?

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Can anyone please tell me if this happens only in my game: I have won the MVP, Silver Slugger, rookie of the year and 2 Hank Aaron awards, I even won a home run derby, but I can't find these achievements listed anywhere. When I go to the Achievements screen it only shows my contracts, all star appearances, playoff appearances, etc.
