So I ended up making it to the big leagues (Cleveland) my first season. During second season my guy goes on a major slump, he cannot get a base hit to save his life, strike outs, incredible catches from the outfielders, double plays... I am now back in the AAA league one month into my second season.

Well that's strange. In that case RangersCruz, I have no explanation. Perhaps the team needs a new manager.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Well started 2-1 in 2017.. Lost opening day to the Cubs of all teams who broke my 71 straight wins streak I had going (not including ND).. then won next 2 games pretty easily then.. Suffered an injury which took my out til late June.. Won my return start vs the Cubs (payback) then had a terrible start vs the Reds, gave up 6 runs (though I did hit 2 HR's) but fortunately my team eventually tied it to get me off the hook.. Still since I gave up 13 runs all of 2016 to have given up 11 already in 2017 thru 6 starts in differentFavorite Teams:

I've never been on a hot streak like this before. It's insane. It's like every time I swing it's AT LEAST a double.
These are my stats through the first 13 games of the 2019 season:

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I'm currently a platoon infielder for the los angeles dodgers. I was drafted by the orioles but moved in a trade deadline move. Im a contact first player, with little power and a good amount of speed. I'm starting to hit a stride for the big club and getting a steady amount of playing time around the diamond. hopefully they move dee gordon and i can step in as the every day 2b. My player is only 19 so i wouldn't really mind it if i got sent back down, im not exactly tearing it up in LA and i could use the pitching fodder to get my power and speed up a bit. Just some thoughts on my current RTTS.Check out my Youtube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/Warrior0King?feature=watch

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Wrapped up the 2019 Season with Miami, after winning 5 straight WS we lost in Divisional Round to San Fransisco.. I went 23-5 that season with a career high 2.49 ERA.. So.. My 5 year Miami deal is up and I have 6 MLB season under my belt.. So let's see what I can get..
My offer from Miami was for roughly 5 yr/ 16.7 million per
I got offers from The Angels, Yankees and Red Sox for a bit more..
Justin Verlander is the highest paid pitcher in the game at this point W/ Detroit at 20.2 Million per.. And since I'm the #1 pitcher in baseball I feel as if I should make more than that but no team will go over 17.8.. Don't know why.. You'd think 4 Cy Young awards, 4 NL MVP, 3 Triple Crowns and 5 World Series Rings, 134-13 career MLB Record, and over 1000 Strikeouts would be enough..
So.. I decided to resign in Miami for just 1 Year worth 18 Million dollars...
Btw the Marlins are loaded like crazy in 2019/2020.. Ovr #1 team and I mean we went 114-48 in 2019..Favorite Teams:

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
in his 5th year, my adam dunn-esque RF finally got into the playoffs. not only that, his Rangers made it to the world series and man is this team stacked. unfortunately we're down 3-1 in the series to the cardinals, hopefully some magic will happen lol. they have home field advantage too, yikes..
edit: ended up winning game 5, but lost the series in game 6... i dropped a fly ball with bases loaded, 2 runs scored and i struck out looking at a fastball to make the last out of the world series... we lost by 1 run D:Last edited by h4mbon3s; 08-03-2012, 05:19 PM.Cardinals

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I'm a left handed starting pitcher drafted by the Yankees. First game was pretty good overall. 7.2 IP, 1 earned run. The worst part of it was I had one walk but no strike outs.
The second game was awesome. I pitched a complete shutout, only allowing three hits. No walks and six strike outs, the worst part of the game was that I had an error. Accidentally threw a ground ball to third because I'm not used to the inverted controls. Having fun though. 11 hits allowed over two games. Eugh.Last edited by spikerdude; 08-03-2012, 09:51 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
playing as my RF for the yankees, we had a game on the road against the Astros. I hit a grounder to 2nd and get a fielder's choice then i steal second. on the next pitch i take a lead and the pitcher throws to 2nd, as soon as i see him move i go for 3rd. i would have been safe anyways but luckily the 2nd baseman airmailed it out of play and i got the run. hahaCardinals

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Finally got around to trying a starting pitcher in RTTS. In my third year in the Mariners org, I finally broke spring training with the big league rotation...
...but I'm getting absolutely fed up with the defense in this mode.
I get plenty of ground balls, but such a ridiculously inordinate amount of them get out of the infield. Either they roll right past my infielders, or pass right under their gloves in that half-bent-over animation, or bounce off their gloves and roll into the outfield. And the Mariners infield is no slouch defensively. Balls shouldn't be rolling past Brendan Ryan left and right.
Nevermind the frustration incurred when the SS holds onto a ball too long or double clutches and ends up being late on the throw to first on a routine grounder; or when the first basemen, five feet from the bag, waits for me to run over and then lazily tosses it to me to just miss the runner instead of taking it over himself; or when professional outfielders fail to cut off a line drive into the outfield multiple times a game.
I feel like I'm playing an EA Sports game on "screw you" mode.
Basically, pitching is fun, and I know that I personally am gonna make mistakes, but it's no fun when a line drive on a bad pitch scores three runners who made it on thanks to awful defense.
I haven't touched the sliders since I bought the game in May. Are there sliders I can adjust to improve the worst part of an otherwise enjoyable mode?Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, but a made a shortstop who's still in the minors and I'm constantly throwing to the wrong base. On classic or fielder fielding controls, if I press the second base button or push the stick in that direction, I just give a soft throw to home plate. This has happened many times, and combined with my .176 Legend batting average, it makes the mode extremely frustrating.Comment
