I eventually signed with one of the top offensive teams in the league (Tigers) and won the Cy Young Award my first year there.
Yeah, I'm in my second year in the bigs so I've got 4 more here. Unless they decide that my $10m a year is too much for a last place team, here's to hope.

I'm playing for the Harrisburg Senators, we just be you guys, haha.

Edit: OMG, I just got called up to the AAA, Syracuse Chiefs! Sweet! My first game is against my real life, favorite minor league team -- my hometown, Charlotte Knights. (Well, they've always played in Fort Mill, but they're moving to Charlotte.)

Re: edit: I went 0-3 in my debut, I can definitely tell the difference in pitching from AA to AAA.

Game 2: I went 3-5, 1 HR in the eight to tie the game 6-6 and in the bottom of the ninth, I hit a liner past 1st base and it rolled deep into right field to score the winning run!

That it does, playing 3B it seems like 70% of your plays are running up to get a bunt. SS & 2B 70% of your plays are covering second for a steal. 1B, well it's first, 99% of your plays are covering first. Third would be my favorite if I didn't have to field the bunt so much, most the times it seems like the situation that they bunt in leaves you scratching your head going, huh why.

have a closer who was on the brewers AAA team in his 2nd season. dominated the whole year and signed a 1 year, $1 million contract at the end of the year to be the MLB closer for the brewers. surprisingly they're going with me instead of axford, but having him set up for me is sick...

I play outfield (CF to be precise) and I love it. My stint in AAA lasted about 5 games, I was sent back down to AA because I was terrible at the plate. Sigh.

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

Well where to start. Um i got drafted by the Rockies as a starting pitcher. I go 10 and 1 with a .6 era with their double A team and get traded to the royals. I finish the year 26 and 2 with a .400 era .500 whip 236 Ks 248.1 innings pitched 4 walks 11 earned runs 119 hits. I have four almost maxed out pitches and plan on adding the 5th here soon. Mind you I'm only on all star but I didn't even get a spring training invite. I'm the number one rated pitcher in triple a and the number one pitcher in the organization yet they have me in triple instead while 3 starters in the majors sport a overwhelming 5era. I want this game to be realistic but this is a little crazy not to mention my stats which are unreal as well. Obviously should be on a higher level but the fact that I'm stuck in triple a is freaking ********. I don't know what more the royals want from me. I mean I understand it's the royals and they aren't the brightest bunch but come on.

Cool part about being traded to Tigers...during interleague, they're facing the Cards(the team my guy was on for 4-5 seasons, and who traded the best player in the league for Austin Jackson....), so will be cool to play that game(since I'm simming most of the season) and get to play a series in the place my guy dominated at.

Then once this season is over, I can finally become an UFA!

                              RTTS sucks.

I was on Cards for 4-5 years, all those years, they were one of worst pitching teams in the league. The second I leave, they become one of the worst offenses in the league(cause they got rid of me), but their pitching is now the best. The players who got 4-5ERA consistently, now had ERA in 2's.

Then I was on Tigers, and their pitching sucked as well, I leave them, and now their pitching is great.

Part that sucked is how nobody wanted to sign my guy who's a free agent. I got 2 offers and that was it! I'd have thought the whole league would be offering him something, he is the multi time MLB MVP and is only 25! I ended up having to try out for the Jays and made it, but they had like 5.1M in cap space, so I signed for 5M.

How do you change positions in the game! I request constantly(at positions where the team is real weak at on the MLB level) and they keep on refusing. The team is leaving great players on the bench cause my guy plays that position as well, so me shifting to another position(like 2B) will allow them to move that great player back to starting lineup, and get rid of the horrible player at the other position.
