Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Sweeney RF
Gonzales 1B
Ortiz DH
Pedroia 2B
Crawford LF
Saltalamacchia C
Aviles SS
Cody Ross 3B
But my top line-up is very fast, I think i don't need a fast guy. Not for the top of the line-up...My teams:

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Is will Middlebrooks injured?
If you pull off a trade for Bourjos (idk who'd you give up yet) your line-up could potentially look like this:
1. Ellsbury CF
2. Pedroia 2B
3. Gonzalez 1B
4. Ortiz DH
5. Saltalamacchia C
6. Middlebrooks 3B
7. Crawford LF/RF
8. Aviles SS
9. Bourjos RF/LF
You'd probably have to give them Cody Ross, and a prospect or two.Seattle Mariners|Seattle Seahawks

I like this line-up. I'm going to trade for Bourjos, it's a good deal and I don't mind giving up Cody Ross. But no chance for Upton? Too unrealistic? My teams:

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
If you REALLLLLLY want Upton, you'd have to give up an OF for sure, with a couple of prospects. I am not too good at the whole "he's worth this and that" thing, so NFG or AC would be a better help at the actual TRADE part.
If you get Upton, you're line-up would be sorta like this:
Ellsbury CF
Pedroia 2B
A-Gon 1B
Ortiz DH
Justin Upton RF
WMB 3B
Crawford LF
Saltalamacchia C
Aviles SS
This would make your line-up have more pop, but the bottom of line-up would suffer w/o someone like Bourjos. Thats why I think you should get him instead of Upton. just my opinion though.Seattle Mariners|Seattle Seahawks

It's not too unrealistic, but he's more of a 3-6 hitter. Bourjos could come in and produce at the bottom of your line-up, whereas J-Up couldn't.

And I don't think my bottom line-up is that weak. Crawford is hitting very well and is speedy, Saltalamacchia is the 2nd best of the team in HR and Aviles is maybe the one who is weaker but not so much.My teams:

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
What about I get Upton for those conditions and then try and trade cody ross and prospects for a good batting/speedy SS. Would it be possible?

Also, look at
JJ Hardy, Baltimore (great hitter, avg speed)
Munenori Kawasaki, M's (fast but he's 30)
Brenden Ryan Mariners (great defense)Seattle Mariners|Seattle Seahawks

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I agree that it's not too weak, but yeah. If you want a SS with Upton, maybe get Stephen Drew, who also plays for the Dbacks and could pull off a trade for the both of them haha.

What do you think of this:
D-backs give:
RF Justin Upton
SS Stephen Drew
Red Sox give:
RF Ryan Sweeney/Cody Ross (which?)
SS Mike Aviles
3B Danny Valencia
Fair trade?My teams:

Woah, woah, hang on a sec. Upton is worth two A POT and a B POT. You guys are way off here haha. What he's looking at:

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Won a batting title in Japan. M's signed him. He's rated poorly, but if he's used right, can be effective in the bottom of the line-up.
He's probably worth a D.
