Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
The prospect level is right but the positions make no sense for seattle. They have Montero and Jaso and Olivio at catcher and a plethora of SP prospects. Try and offer them RP, SS, LFComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
First of all, these are C potential guys meaning they will be backups or maybe fringy starters slash platoon guys. Next Rasmussen is projected to be a lugie in the MLB not a starter because he doesnt have an average breaking ball. Montero isnt going to be there long term catcher as he cant play the position. Olivo wont be resigned and Jaso contract is almost up. They could use a backup for Zunino in the future and thats what theyd be getting here.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Speaking as a Seattle fan, Jaso is under team control for three more years and Montero is a serviceable backup, and those two can hold the fort until Zunino is called up. The one position we lack depth at is first base, but if the return will be two fringy prospects, we usually take outfielders and relief pitchers.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Ya I messed up with Jaso, I read the wrong thing. But Montero will likely be the fulltime DH next year or the year after kinda like Victor Martinez is in Det, not a backup catcher. Rasmussen will be a RP which is what you said they like, and whatever C pot catcher can easily be exchanged for a 1B since Smoak is terrible and need some depth thereComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I didn't know that Pitcher was being projected as a RP. So that works. But Montero is serviceable enough as a backup, and they have a stud in the minors. I don't think they would move such a defensive force for another C when they have holes elsewhere. Thats all i was saying. And yeah they need 1b also, i left that out.Comment

Athletics get:
- Erick Aybar
- Two B's
Angels get:
- Jamile Weeks
Or
Mariners get:
- Erick Aybar
- Two B's
Angels get:
- Dustin Ackley
Any of these sound fair?
I am in 15 of June.
The A's are 22GB from me and the Mariners 24GB
Jamile is .236
Ackley is .266
Aybar is .289
Any advice?Last edited by MindBeats; 08-27-2012, 06:31 PM.My teams:

Plus, the Angels have Howie Kendrick at 2nd...and he's not a bad player by any stretch of the imagination.Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
My advice is not to make either of those deals. Both those guys aren't going anywhere in year one, probably in year two as well. Not to mention that both teams would be giving away a productive guy at a tough position to get offense from, to a division rival.

I need an SS though, any tip? I can give Aybar and prospects. My teams:

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Without looking at any stats from Lowrie I would preliminarily say he's worth a B and C or the two lowest B's you have. But that's the value I remember guys telling me when I dealt him, opinions may have changed since then.Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Jed Lowrie from Houston is a good option. Switch hitter, can play a lot of postions, solid defender. He also doesn't fit into Houston's future plans, and is in the final year of his deal.

He is .235
But since my plan is replacing Aybar (my lead-off hitter) I would prefer a speedy guy who can get to base to start the game. (I can give Aybar in exchange)My teams:
