We've been on and off about him a couple of times in this thread but with Profar knocking on the door in Texas for 2013, what's the trade value of Andrus?
Lets assume he'll stay at SS and not move to 2B or CF.

Buddy of mine entering the 2013 season as the Bucs and looking for an upgrade at SS. Andrus hit .290'ish with like 6 homers, 50 RBI, 40 SB and around 100 runs in 2012 for the CPU.

Would two mid B's do the trick or would he have to pony up more in return?

I think andrus is worth more than 2 Mid B's maybe an A of some sort.

Feels tough to give up a Gerrit Cole caliber prospect for Andrus but he's only like 23-24 years old if I'm not mistaken. He's under club control as well so...hmm. An A prospect in return feels steep but maybe adding an extra B prospect to the mix? Or eating Michael Young's contract

an A prospect is too steep imo....i'd give up another B to make it fair

But wer're talking about a great shortstop that u may be able to sign long term. The rumors in the real world if they move him they can get a really great pictcher for him hands down like a front line starter.

Yeah 3 B's are more fair if you ask me. You should only give up A prospects in deals for real All-Star studs IMO.

Would three mid B's be alright or should he go one high, one mid and one low? Two mid and one low?

Drop the homer goggles. He isn't worth an A. He's a great SS but not worth thy the extra B would do IMO

He's still worth more than one low-A. Look at the Ublado Jimenez trade... The Rockies got 4 prospects (according to some rosters 1A 2B's and 1C.)

Ubaldo Jimenez was having a much worse season than what Tim Lincecum is having in your season when the trade happened. The highest Ubaldo ever finished in the Cy Young was 3rd.... Lincecum has won it twice. Not to mention Tim Lincecum is a huge figure for their organization.

The Giants aren't going to care if he's a rental or not... their not going to just give him away for one prospect with lower potential than The Freak himself.

Just finished my 2012 Yankees season and Arod retired. Went through the offseason and signed Encarnacion to replace Arod at 3rd. I tried to get Hanley Ramirez in a trade but the Marlins werent interested. Just wanted to hear some suggestions on how to pry Ramirez from the Marlins.

                        Thanks

remember this is a video-game.....and the only reason why i said A+B is cause of the contract situation...since the poster would be takin on Timmy's entire contract (especially if it's a multi-year deal), i wouldn't give up the farm for him...factor in, Timmy had a below-average year(dont know his stats) in 2012 in his 'chise, his value is not as sky-high as u may think....just my .02

I agree that he shouldn't give up as much as the Indians did for Ubaldo... but I think he's worth at least an A+B. He said his '12 ERA was 3.09... not bad at all.
