In my franchise I was thinking of trading Chris Volstad and Randy Wells for some prospects. Does anyone know any players who are worth both of them.

Neither one carries any substantial value so don't expect much in return unless they're pitching like studs

I think the Pirates would rather get a good bullpen arm in return than to AAAA-players with any upside. Janish and Beck would simply offer minor league depth. Looking at the Bucs roster, what holes do they have?

Well, they need a catcher and some pitching. How about Luis Perez and Nick Smalls (C Potential, got him in the draft)

Probably bullpen and OF--they'd be best served being able to keep Garrett Jones playing 1B instead of OF. SS isn't great either with Barmes, Harrison, and d'Arnaud the only options at the MLB level.

                  Hansen is pretty close, though.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

I'm in the 2013 season using a hybrid roster/franchise file based off of the real life 2012 season.

I'm the Baltimore Orioles and I'm looking for a 2B. Roberts retired. The Casilla/Flahrety platoon is not working out well. Other Lead-off options Reimold and McClouth are hitting poorly and injured, respectively. Basically I'm looking for a guy who can start at 2B and can steal bases, ideally batting leadoff.

I did a look through the rosters and didn't see much in the department of speedy second basemen that are Major League Ready. Jemile Weeks and Eric Young came up. I'd imagine the A's would want a haul to part with Weeks, and isn't Young jr really an outfielder?

I'll trade anyone not named Bundy or Machado. Any ideas on some good trade match ups?

Eric Young is a 'whole greater than sum of his parts' player. I like him a LOT.

Just give 'em a half decent pitcher.

Yeah give 'me half a decent pitcher like AC said. I've been running EY as a 2B myself. Works really well as a speedy leadoff option like you mentioned
