I feel especially bad for the Vita folks. The work around seems to work fine on the PS3, but do be without the functionality which was so heavily marketed as a key feature must be pretty annoying.

This is what I am doing. Major bummer for me though. Only reason I bought a Vita was to be able to play The Show remotely, or while on the move, which for me is frequent.

SCEA really dropped the ball on this one. As someone said earlier, the issues that were created here were things several of us saw almost immediately after patch release.

I love the game, I love the interaction with the devs, but this little snafu has made me a not very happy camper.

I'm well out of April in my franchise (July 30) and it's freezing. I don't think simming past April is the solution. The only solutions are deleting the patch or starting over.

I think SCEA should have just suggested restarting franchises, and all this would have been moot. Most were expecting that to be the case anyway.

That's why I don't understand all the uproar. Last time people had to restart their franchises and were expecting to do the same this year. But when SCEA said you wouldn't have to they went off!

30 team control is also going to give up problems. Single team control should be ok.

This reminds me of the issue that popped up with a patch in MLB 10 (runner on 3rd with two outs, batter is out but the runner crosses home and the run counts). That was fixed rather quickly.

I'm sure the SCEA guys are aware of it and won't leave us in the dark for too long. Hopefully it's something easy on their end.

I feel you with the Vita, though. Cross-platform saves was a system-seller for me, so to be without it is a major letdown.

Freezing is not the only issue sons...the decimal bug is a little thing but it sounds pretty irritating ro me! Easy fix don't download the patch...people with the vita got the worse of it. I see a patch on Monday coming to fix it all.

I don't expect to have to wait over a month to START playing a game, no. I think the "uproar" is in most cases completely justified here.

The goodish news is I tested simming out of April, applying the patch, then uploading that May 1 save to the cloud and playing a game on Vita. That went smoothly and I just completed the next game on PS3 without any problems, so hopefully that means I'm not going to run into any issues so long as I don't pull up any April schedules on the Vita until its patched.

Speaking of which, is there a reason the Vita was not patched at the same time? This whole thing seems kinda strange.

Just in case it helps anyone else, I'm freezing consistently in my Tigers season mode:

* Started the season prior to the patch
* Have one created player and otherwise regular SCEA rosters
* Freezing when I go to "View Organizations Game" on April 15 vs. KC
* Uninstalled patch 1.6 and still froze at the same place
* Reinstalled the patch and still froze at the same place

I'm starting my season over now. Bummer.

Yea apparently it is only in the ticker. Really not a big deal, at all lol.
