      RE: Derek Holland

Dear Mr GM of the Texas Rangers!

Yesterday, I have contacted you about the possible trade of Derek Holland. Now, I can understand, that you haven't contacted me yet, you must had been busy finalising the signing of Jordan Zimmermann from the Nats. Now, that deal is done, maybe you will have time to answer my request.

Now I can understand, why you want to trade Derek Holland, why is he on the Trade Block. If I'm not mistaken he became the 6th starter of the team, behind Lewis, Darvish, Feliz, Harrison and Zimmermann.

I feel, I have a lot of players you might want to look at, especially relief pitchers:

      Bastardo, Atchison, Melancon, Fuentes.

I'm ready to give you one of them, and one of the following players:

      Lars Anderson (B), Iglesias (B).

Have a nice day, (it's raining in Boston)!

Dear GM of the Texas Rangers!

The Boston Red Sox would like to make an offer for Derek Holland of the Texas Rangers. Your team is leading the AL West at the moment, but Derek Holland is struggling with a 4.48 ERA.

We would like to give you a B prospect lefthander reliever, Antonio Bastardo (who we signed from the Phillies before the start of the season), and a B prospect shortstop Jose Iglesias.

In case you don't like the idea of having another good shortstop behind Elvis Andrus, we have other prospects to throw into the deal.

i'm looking forward to hearingfrom you soon!

(ooc: I think force trades would have to be on, but honestly after thinking of a possible deal last night, I'm actually probably going to do this trade if it goes through in my actual franchise.)

Thank you for providing such detailed information, it is usually difficult for me as a representative to get to the office computer (and the PS3) around the same time because of commitments, so I usually don't propose the deals myself, but here is what I would propose as a solid offer:

        Pirates Receive:

        Drew Smyly - SP
Nick Castellanos - 3B (AA currently in my organization)

        Tigers Receive:

        Neil Walker - 2B
        Nick Kingham - SP

        ---

If you are willing to accept this offer, you can consider it approved by Detroit Representatives.

        RE: Trade Talk

We like this trade very much, but wouldyou possibly be willing to throw in Raburn to fill our 2nd base gap? If not, we will still do the deal without Raburn included.

        Raburn's stats: .200 5 HR 16 RBI 1 SB

Like we said, we would still do it if you don't want to give up Raburn.

        -The Pittsburgh Pirates

EDIT: The Tigers are not willing to give up Raburn in game so how about Santiago? .314 2 HR 9 RBI. Just like with Raburn, I'll still do it regardless of whether or not you're willing to give him up.

Well, I'd like to get the Rockies covered just as they have no one at present, but I'm not here to tell you how you want to get involved.

It's totally your choice, just let me know where you'd like to be and you're approved. I have tried to steer away from having one person representing multiple teams -- but just because we were filling the squads at a good rate and I figured it would save on confusion level later. If you were to stay with the Pirates, we still only have 3 franchises with no representation, so I don't think it will be very long before we've got every organization represented.

I'm just a guide, the people make their own choices in this project.

I don't consider this to be a problem. Do you have any player with speed that you'd be willing to toss in? Position is completely flexible, we'd just like to add more team speed.

Either way, we are right around a deal... really just looking for someone who could be used as a MLB level pinch running and possible defensive replacement who can allow us a more comfortable layer of strategy at the end of games.

            Thanks!

Just saw your edit... I personally love Ramon in game...

The game is probably still looking at Raburn as a MLB-level player... trust me, Tigers brass would pay for you to take Raburn out of our organization right now -- the fan base reviles him that much.

EDIT: And Leyland loves Santiago... that would be a rough throw in if we are talking real life I think.

Had you down with St. Louis from a previous post, but will make the change if you wish -- just let me know. Better situation as StL has another rep already.

                    RE: Pinch Runner Trade

Absolutely! We could throw in Chase D'arnaud, who we just called up to fill our back up 2B/SS role, and is really more of a defensive and speed type player. To be honest, he's one of our poorest hitters on our MLB Team stats: .109 0 HR 1 RBI 2 SB with 46 AB's. He's 25 and has a B potential. In all honesty, we value him as a back up at best and a pinch runner. (OOC: his speed bar is about 4/5 up and he has a halfway decent BR ability if you want to check him out). If he doesn't fit your needs, we could add Yamaico Navarro, also a SS (AAA). He's 24 and has a stat line of .194 1 HR 5 RBI 0 SB with 93AB's. He isn't much of a base stealing (BR ability is very low) but he has a lot of speed (bar is fairly high). If you're looking for a guy that can just get around the base paths quickly on a gapper to score that tying run, he may be your guy, but if you're looking for someone to try and get into scoring position on a steal, Chase may be a better pick. Two very different styles, but either one can benefit what you're looking for. Also, may I just add it has been a pleasure negotiating with your organization.

Ok, I'll try again and see if Raburn would be available. I figured he'd be the one the Tigers would prefer to part with, but the game didn't see it that way.

Finally got through this whole thread, really like what's going on here. I'd like to volunteer to help with the Yankees if that's okay (worked on the OSFM roster). I'm also doing franchises with the Pirates and Mariners, I'll probably be proposing some trades here before long but I'm also available to weigh in on the other side of things.

I've been considering starting a franchise with Seattle, but currently I'm also doing one with the Pirates.

                                RE: We have a deal.

I would gladly take back D'Arnaud and add Raburn. I think "force trades" might be the only way to get this through the commissioners office, but I would do this deal gladly here in Detroit.

And, the pleasure is ours. This is what I have as a finalized proposal:

                                Detroit Receives:

                                2B Neil Walker
                                P Nick Kingham
                                SS Chase D'Arnaud

                                Pittsburgh Receives:

                                P Drew Smyly
                                3B Nick Castellanos
                                2B Ryan Raburn

If you agree, this would be considered a completed transaction, in my eyes. Thanks again for the ease in negotiations.

                                Best regards,
