Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
I guess a just over 2 ERA and 8 out of 10 starts as quality starts means nothing. I hope you're joking. He should be 8-2 if not 9-1 on the year.Comment

We are really interested in your 25 y/o RP Jose Ceda.
We where wondering what your asking price for him would be.
So far in AAA his ERA is 3.78, 18 Ks in 16.2 IP, and 15 saves.
As of July 14 your team is in 4th place 5.5 gms behind.
As i said we would really like to make a deal,
Please get back to us soon,

You could he looking at 4-5 B potential pitchers. I'm also open to trading Jacob Anderson, who's a B RF, and Dwight Smith, Jr., who's a B LF. How many B's would you want?

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
.... you said Soriano's played 13 games, I thought you were in April! OK, these negotiations are confusing. Regardless. Those are three very good B's. They'll definitely help your building effort. We also have guys like Joe Musgrove, Adonys Cardona, and Asher Wojciechowski, who are all B's. If you have force trades on, we can make two separate trades, one for Garza and then the other X amount of guys for your worst guy...

Re: Trade Opportunity
June 13, 2012
Good morning,
We would like to approach you regarding a possible trade that may be to both team's benefit. Seeing as how you have a record of 36-27, 3.5 GB in the AL Central (to the Twins) and in 1st for the Wild Card (.5 over Rays), we thought you may desire some accomplished veteran help for the stretch run.
Although it won't be a popular move in Seattle, we are willing to trade away Ichiro Suzuki (.279/.328/.414, 20 SB). We are also willing to part with Kevin Millwood (5-1, 3.19 ERA) and closer Brandon League (19 saves, 2.75 ERA).
We think this would help you as you've struggled to get production out of your outfield (Young - .240/.274/.356, Jackson - .264/.340/.376, Boesch - .265/.363/.400). League could replace Benoit in your bullpen (6.04 ERA in 25 IP) or take over for Valverde since it looks like you're trying to trade him away. Fister and Porcello both have ERA's over 4 in your rotation and Smyly has been a little inconsistent. Not to mention that recently acquired Aroldis Chapman is on the DL with a Shoulder Tear.
In return we are interested in LF Andy Dirks (.294/.314/.397 in AAA), 2B Ryan Raburn (.257/.308/.408) and a starter like Drew Smyly, Andy Oliver, or Casey Crosby.
We are of course willing to negotiate. Thank you for your time and assistance in this matter, please let me know if I can provide you with any additional information.
Best,
Seattle GM

RE: Potential negotiations (Ichiro/Dirks/ETC)
Not interested in Kevin Millwood, but the League/Ichiro idea is interesting. (I'm on my final franchise after fixing freezing issues, but Benoit hasn't been good in any of them!)
Could definitely work with any/all of the players you have listed, if you'd like, please send your first formal offer through and we can negotiate from there. Sorry to have taken so long for the response, I was away from the office (work) all day, and had to pick the girlfriend up after.

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
Actually, now that we're full I shouldn't have too much problem, and I can do updates a little less often because I usually send a message through letting the user know they are "approved" for representation... but, if you wanted to maybe scrawl names down on a piece of paper from when I'm about to update as you see them, it WOULD be helpful... I usually just read through pages upon pages of thread.
Either way, thank you very much for the offer of help, it is greatly appreciated!I'm just an old guy sports gamer...Comment

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
Just seems like it might be getting a little chippy around here...
Guys, please remember -- Team representatives are acting as if (and usually are) they are franchising with a team.
No one has been "out of line", I just wanna head off any possible skirmishes before they occur. If a representative says they are not willing to deal a player at that time, let it go for a bit. (ACMilan, Authentic -- I know this looks like a slam towards the Garza "negotiation" -- I'm just using you guys as a recent example as this hasn't been the first occurrence lately, so please don't think I'm "mad" at either one of you.)
Just trying to keep things on track and let the thread flow a little bit. If a GM says that they are not looking to deal a player, revisit it in a week or so, perhaps -- you never know how many games have been played or simmed in the interim. We'll keep happier representatives if they don't have to recover ground that has been covered already.
AC, Authentic -- I know both of you guys really just get into the roleplay aspect, and I love it -- so please, don't think I'm trippin about that whole conversation. I am just trying to guide the rest of the thread for situations that aren't between, how should I say this, "cream of the crop" posters. So, sorry if I offended either of you, definitely not my intent. Just saw potential for drama down the road in these spots and figured I should address it while fresh.
Carry on.Been some great negotiations and trades being finalized lately, and I know I'm learning even more about other team's systems than I had really ever hoped!

-- that I don't get here. They've been rare, but they did happen. Lot better now that everything is full here, too - but yeah that would really be great to where I didn't have to backtrack through the thread or be like "damn, I saw it and forgot.."
I've only made like two errors like that last one, and even then, I at least "approved" the user, I just forgot to add to the list.
I'm not looking at the usernames right now, but that would be the first one you could add to your list, because I have GOT to get off here and go to bed. But, I was going to update the list tomorrow evening, as I think that is going to be my night to do the list throughout the summer as we're full.
Thanks a million, once again. That little bit of help will relieve some "guilt" if nothing else. Not that I feel real guilt, but I do want this to run as smooth as it should, and I don't want people feeling uncomfortable or unwelcome because I forgot to put their name on a stupid list.I'm just an old guy sports gamer...Comment

Hi Dave,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, I certainly understand the issues with work and women. I understand the lack of interest in Millwood, so I would like to propose a trade of Ichiro Suzuki and Brandon League for Andy Dirks, Ryan Raburn, Drew Smyly, and Al Alburquerque (6.75 ERA, 8 IP in AAA). Let me know what you think and we can work from there.

RE: Starling Marte
We were planning on waiting a few more weeks before we offered the trade, just to see how the players' stats rounded out near the middle of July, but unfortunately we only made it a couple of days before Starling Marte suffered a season ending knee injury. Therefore we are unable to trade him. We would be willing to work out some other kind of deal, however we doubt we have anyone in particular you would be interested in that we would be willing to give up. We did sign Jorge Soler who's hitting .263 with 5 HR and 19 RBI in AAA, but considering we just recently signed him (about a month ago) we doubt he would be of interest to you. We are still willing to part ways with Pedro Alvarez as well. We apologize for the unfortunate turn out, and we hope to be able to continue other negotiations with your organization in the future!
OOC: Just my luck that Marte would tear his ACL. But, looking on the bright side of things, I guess that will help me try and keep the farm system together for the future.
