Not sure if this is the right place, but I don't know where else I'd put it.
Does Miguel Cabrera have the ability to appeal his own check swings in-game? This might not really be a gameplay thing, but more of an animation issue?
Can you move batters in the batter's box? Either forward or back. I seem to remember an old game that allowed you to do this (but I don't remember the title).Comment

I just want to know about different hit types, hopefully we see a few more flare hits to the outfield than we do now. It seems now all we get are lasers that drop in before the outfielder (or at least we get those more than anything).Comment

Hey everyoneCan someone confirm if they've fixed that awkward robotic animation where the batter and sometimes the outfielders make a sudden change of speed?
it looks awful because the rest of the animations look smooth...but i don't see too many people here complaining about it. Doesn't this bother you guys?

Re: Community Day 2013 - Gameplay - Questions/Concerns/Inquiries
For 2013:
#1. Has the implementation of contact physics been improved. My short YT video here, will just sum it all up about what I'm looking for:
Have defensive characteristics for players been improved as a whole, are there new ratings and factors that handle defensive attributes.
Are injuries improved in this game, particularly pertaining to getting beaned by a baseball. That's the easiest situation to look at an injury. Will there at least be a bruise that lowers a rating or two for at least 1 game. Are pitchers going to still get hit in the face/shoulder pick up the ball throw to first and finish the game over 80 percent of the time.
The presence of ball-kids is really glaringly missing now, and so are fans who handle fly balls in the seats. Has ANYTHING been done to address those 2 things. I don't see how hard it is to update this but it's lack of being there makes the game look unrealistic and it's unnecessary
2014:
"(My .20 cents) I think a near overhaul of a players programming, is what will be needed to take the action in this game to a new level. A focus on the athleticism, body build, and skill-set of each type of player know to MLB would allow us a richer quality in the action and abilities we see in the games. And I think doing this is your ticket the next level, IE A+ territory. Fifa 13 which is sports game of the year currently seemed to have had a focus on exactly this. When playing that you can feel 1) the physical differences between each player (their physical strengths and weaknesses) 2) you witness a variation of skill-set between each player at any level. I think this is due to way they created and programmed the way their players operate."
In gameplay, for All Sports games actually. I'd like to see an overhaul of the pause menu. Pausing takes you completely out of your games, I want to stay right in there. MLB The Show actually does the best job at this utilizing the select button to handle tasks. But particular improvements, I'll list below:
First Step: Let select control ALL gameplay decisions under the sun. Let start be the true pause menu, for rest, setting changes, quitting, etc.
Now: When subbing, for example, take us in the dugout, let us go to the lineup sheet or even literally view the players and put them in or out of the game.
And: When shifting players, keep us in the game somehow and let us see a sign or hear a call alerting the team to make an action. I love in NHL 13 hearing the bench coaches, YELL 3!!, or SHIFFT, What was That! , etc...
One last thing to transition out of this issue, make the between innings a little bit longer. For one, I hate going from trying to bat against Justin Verlander to then pitching to Fielder and Miguel Cabrera, I need a prep for the next inning. Maybe a viewing of batter analysis, strategies, or scouting reports would be a great way. Give us a time limit however, and if we need to pause, let us get in the pause menu.
That is it for now, I know I will have a few more but it's dinnertimeRed LegendComment

Re: Community Day 2013 - Gameplay - Questions/Concerns/Inquiries
Have any of the ways to hit/batting modes been changed tweaked?
Any chance they have gone back to the old PCI instead of the crazy swirly one from last year; or at least a means to pick your PCI? I always thought a PCI editor would be cool where you could adjust its color or transperency.
Lastly. Generated counts. Please. Someone please please please tell me this is finally the year they get this in. I'm not sure why its taken the best baseball game of this generation this long to consider adding a feature that last generation baseball games had in 2005.Comment

Bunting - Are we able to pull back bunts on pitches, especially on obvious balls? When playing Online, opposing pitchers exploit this to get easy strikes in bunting situations.

Re: Community Day 2013 - Gameplay - Questions/Concerns/Inquiries
Anyway...
Is there more hit variety? Do fielders react too quickly and cover too much ground still?
Is it still hard to pull an inside fastball in fair territory using analog hitting? Whether it was HD lag or what, I had a hell of a time doing this in last year's game.
Any signs of a slide step being added for pitchers? This seems like a must add to control the running game with pitchers with high leg kicks.
Are baserunners thrown out by 45 feet on a consistent basis on groundball outs?
Any new fielding animations? Were awkward one smoothed out or removed?
Do CPU pitchers miss by a larger margin this year? Last year and in years past it seemed like even when pitchers missed the strike zone, it was within a ball's width. Will we see more distinct balls this year?
Was the strike zone made smaller? Specifically the height? I know this has been asked for for a number of years.
Do CPU batters still swing at the first pitch too often?Comment

Re: Community Day 2013 - Gameplay - Questions/Concerns/Inquiries
Hey guys. Havent played the show series in a few years, but I like to use the guess pitch where when you guess the pitch right it gives you the location. But I'm playing MLB 12 right now and you have to guess location and pitch type. My question is it possible to go back to just guessing pitch type and when was the gameplay change made?Comment
