Bonifacio have any value? Just lost 1st game of World Series to Nationals and he committed 3 errors in 1 game. Hes been ok this season batting .302 with 15 SB (I play 54 game seasons) and has some value but his defense sucks for my team. I would like younger guys preferably 2B/3B

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I am in the midst of re-building the Minnesota Twins.
Mauer and Morneau are having huge years so their value is up a bit. However, my pitching staff is horrendous and has me in the cellar.
I REALLY want to get Profar or Taveras to go along with my core of Sano/Buxton.
What would it take? My untouchables are Sano and Buxton... but everyone and anyone else is negotiable.
St. Louis doesn't seem like a fit.
Texas, however, has a gaping hole at catcher and needs help in the outfield.
Joe Mauer could be a main piece. However, I take into consideration he signed an extension in 2010 and is a Minny boy.. it becomes a little more difficult to rationalize. That being said, I (along with the real Twins) won't be contending until probably 2017.
I am thinking Mauer + + (maybe one of the +'s being Willigham to help TEX's outfield)
Thoughts? Keep in mind I am hell bent on trading both Mauer and Morneau at some point. I understand that I lose all sense of realism by wanting to trade Mauer to begin with, but I am going to burn the forest down so it can grow again.Last edited by DrPhibes; 04-11-2013, 09:37 PM.Comment

Stats? If Mauer and Morneau are back to their old ways and injury-free, Mauer for Profar isn't out of the question, and Morneau for a guy like Nolin/Norris/Stroman on the Jays isn't out of the question, either. Just would help to know how they're doing, exactly."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Profar and Olt for Mauer sounds about right. Olt can take over at 3B and Sano can move to RF. An OF of Hicks/Buxton/Sano is GODLY.
Morneau for Norris/Nolin/Stroman would also work, but it'd be more realistic if you took Lind back. It'd only be a year and the Jays are a bit cash strapped so it'd help them take on Morneau. It'd probably be worth it because those three prospects are man-crush worthy lol."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

The only problem is my only respectable Major League pitcher's (Vance Worley and Alex Meyer) both have an ERA above 5 and Worley just hit the DL with a broken wrist. Not to mention my bullpen sucks, too.
Thanks for the input. I was also thinking about Olt but didn't want to seem too greedy lolComment
