Are the Cardinals contending? You could maybe sell me on Dempster as another arm for a playoff run if he's doing well, but I don't think they'd need Victorino. If they traded Jay it would be to make room for Taveras not to add another 30 something year old outfielder. Jay's defense has also been very good IRL, so that'd be a consideration when thinking of trading him despite low offensive numbers. Plus the Cards would be taking a significant amount of salary on in the deal.

I'm in a draft right now. I'm trying to decide if I should pick D'Arnaud/Zunino in the 10th round, or should just work on my bullpen (which is empty right now) and trade for one of the two after the draft. So I can't really speculate on teams' needs...just basing on value.

I know, it's a bit strange to care about realism after a fantasy draft, but I still do...

Yeah, they're one game ahead of the Reds right now. For some reason they traded Oscar Taveras to the Indians for Michael Bourn... AI logic is so bad IMO. My Red Sox were 3 games in front of the Rays.

And I still need a way to get Giancarlo Stanton... any ideas?

im playing with the mets . How fair is a trade where the mets give the bluejays Reese Havens to the blue jays for Moises sierra . What should i add to this trade?

Isn't that quite fair without adding anything else? Sierra is a C pot if I remember correctly and Havens must be about the same right?

Wow well that changes things a bit. Still I think the Cards have too many outfielders, Beltran, Holiday, Bourn (now), that they wouldn't want Victorino. I'd like a deal with Dempster, Breslow (upgrade over scrabble), and a prospect like Deven Marrero SS (B Potential I think) for Jay and Garcia a lot better though. Also I believe there's a scenario that sends Stanton to Boston a while back in the thread. Don't know how realistic or fair it was though.

Zunino is a bit more valuable than d'Arnaud.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. By name I think it's a fair deal but we should probably let AC sort out the value of Sierra and what he's worth compared to Havens

Preferably starter or a long reliever who can start, but either.
