So I'm the Cubs and it's currently right at the trade deadline I'm 2.5 back in the division and leading the wildcard. I'm in desperate need of a 3b or a RF, I'm looking for power out of these spots. I've considered Trevor Plouffe for 3b, the twins are 19 games out and Trevor is having a good season. He's batting .284 12 hr's 42 rbi.
What would be a good trade to get him with? I haven't really looked at RF's yet so any good options there would help too. Thanks guys.Comment

How about to the Dodgers where he could shift between 1B/LF for Javy Guerra?Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Strictly a bat would be Ryan Lavarnway from the Red Sox as he offers minimal defense. Or maybe get Salty from the Red Sox? How about Devin Mesoraco from the Reds or Nick Hundley from the Padres?Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

What would it take to get Salty or Mesoraco? I'm looking for names since I don't have the game with me to look up who's what kind of potential.Comment

I think Carlos Triunfel would be a fitting return for either of the guys. Don't know his potential off the top of my head as I don't have the game running but he's a young SS/2B and would provide nice depthFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Hey guys started a new Athletics 'chise rather than my blue jays one because I wanted more of a challenge.
What do you think of these trades?
A's get: Bailey, Reds get: Werner and Norberto
A's get: Saunders and Seager, M's get: Choice(B), Green(C) and Gray(C)
A's get: Salty, Sox get: Taylor(B), Maxwell(C) and Robertson(C)Last edited by s0crates12; 04-14-2013, 01:40 PM.Covers at

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
For my Red Sox franchise, I did this trade with the Cardinals:
St. Louis Cardinals receive:
RF Shane Victorino (Had a low OPS)
SP Ryan Dempster (Was declining from 82 ovr to 75)
RP Craig Breslow
Boston Red Sox receive:
SP Jaime Garcia (He had a lower WHIP than Dempster)
CF Jon Jay (Needed a 4th OF, or he could potentially unseat Jonny Gomes in LF)
Is this a fair trade? And has anybody been able to get Giancarlo Stanton from the Marlins to the Red Sox yet?NFL: New York Giants
MLB: Oakland A's
NBA: New York Knicks
EPL: Arsenal
NHL: Detroit Red Wings

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I personally don't think it is. You're giving the Cardinals an older declining starting pitcher that is more expensive for a much younger lefty that has the lowest ERA in the history of Bush. The Cardinals value Jay in center, and Victorino is significantly older and more expensive also. Breslow's value does not make up for it either. I think you'd be better off sending the Cardinals prospects instead of expensive declining players if you want it to be fair. Realistically I don't see the Cardinals trading either Jay or Garcia.NFL: New York Giants

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Looking to add a young catcher to my team, and can't make up my mind. I like D'Arnaud's arm and overall talent, but his durability is a concern (only at 58). Would Zunino be a better option ?
D'Arnaud's value is set at Mid-A + High-B...what about Zunino, is it around the same ?Comment
