I tried to make a deal for Jose Altuve of the Astros but was turned down in what I was willing to give up.

Any other suggestions? I don't wanna sell the farm and don't wanna take on a multi-year contract, at least not a big one, since I have ideas in the offseason, including using my farm to fill the need.
You could look at Pedro Ciriaco on the Red Sox. Fast, good contact hitter, and can play third, short, and second. Maybe Brian Roberts on the Os too. Mike Aviles in Cleveland also.

Health is definitley a problem with Roberts. In my Sox chise, I have him everyday, and he can usually hold his own. He's probably a cheap option too.

Freddy Sanchez if he can avoid the injury bug...
Mark Ellis is a solid veteran...
Jemile Weeks or Scott Sizemore from the A's always appeal to me...
Daniel Murphy from the Mets is a good contact hitter...
Emilio Bonifacio could provide multiple positions and top notch speed for you...

Yeah the 2 wildcards postions make it more difficult to make deals. I forgot the Yanks are out as well, but I can't afford Cano and they won't trade Nunez.

I really like Donovan Solano of the Marlins but he is injured for the season, or until mid-September.

I may see about snagging Placido Polanco as I didn't consider him.

                  Thanks!

In my rockies franchise here is a trade i pulled off last night:

                    2B Josh Rutledge

                    To the Yankees for:

                    SP Phil Hughes
                    SP Manny Banuelos

I feel like i ripped them off considering the potential for Banuelos. However the Yankees in my chise are pretty bare at 2B with Cano playing for the Red Sox.

He's a sneaky option that'll come relatively cheap and provide you with good contact skills and a solid glove

Yes that's a rip off. Hughes straight up for Rutledge would be a better option

At first glance, I'm pretty sure you ripped them off. I'm not too familiar with Rutledge (I barely ever see the Rockies) but Banuelos is a decent young pitcher and Hughes is decent. But it's hard to tell.

Oh well, i wont be keeping Baneulos very long anyway. I need to find a catcher that can hit from the right side of the plate. Rosario is batting an abismal .146 from the right side.
