I'm looking for a young 1B of the future once Napoli leaves in Boston. I was thinking Jonathan Singleton in Houston (unrealistic though) any ideas? And what I would have to give up?"I'm just gonna go out there, and call the Yankees my daddy" - Pedro Martinez

Yikes! NFG isn't going to like this! Singleton would be practically impossible. He is a top prospect for a team in a full rebuild. Personally, I wouldn't support this trade due to the Astros trying to restock.Red Sox: 2018 World Series Champions!!!

Haha of course not. I thought it was a great idea until I remembered he was one of the few good things the Astros have going. I was just thinking someone similar to Singleton."I'm just gonna go out there, and call the Yankees my daddy" - Pedro Martinez

Now if you don't particularly care about realism and are just going for fairness, one of Boston's better pitching prospects should work. Allen Webster/Henry Owens/Matt Barnes. You could also dangle Bogaerts for Singleton and another prospect.
Iglesias, Brentz, Swihart, Cecchini, Renaudo, Marrero may also work, but you'd need to include at least 2 of those guys (possibly 3) to reel in Singleton who is near-MLB ready, is the Astros top prospect, and also the top 1B prospect in all of baseball.
The key is make sure Houston is not taking on any money at all in a deal.
Honestly, a better fit could be found for CJ Cron (Angels), Dan Vogelbach (Cubs), Matt Adams (Cardinals), Hunter Morris (Brewers).Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Hanrahan + Marrero for Rondon + Austin Schotts
Remember, the Bo Sox wouldn't even deal Iglesias (their 6th best prospect currently according to MLB) for Hanrahan so why would Hanrahan be suddenly worth the top 2 prospects from someone else?Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Utter bank robbery. Almost to the point of being silly actually. Remove the "top 50 prospect LF" who must refer to Castellanos, and you're close.

There is really about zero chance a team like the Astros trades their top prospect away.

The official website of the Detroit Tigers with the most up-to-date information on news, tickets, schedule, stadium, roster, rumors, scores, and stats.
Schotts is currently 10th. Looks like a speedy 4th OF type.
Yeah and another thing to consider is that Adams is much closer to MLB ready than Vogelbach is. So if you don't want to have to marinate a prospect for 3 years before using him, Adams would be the better choice.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment
