Hughes is 0-3 7.48 through 10 starts. Rutledge is batting .248 with 5 hrs and 23 rbi. He only plays when facing LHP as i got La Methiu (spelling?) playing against RHP. i just need starting pitching help BAD, all my starters have losing records.

I'm not saying it's the worst trade in the world. I've definitley seen crazier in real life. Just thought it was too little for the pair."I'm just gonna go out there, and call the Yankees my daddy" - Pedro Martinez

Well...I may not be making a trade for a 2B just yet.
Descalso has gone 11 for his last 16, with 2 sacrifice bunts that setup RBI's from Craig, since I moved him to the number 2 spot.
Maybe he didn't like hitting down in the order. Still have 3 weeks til deadline to see how this shakes out. Maybe by then, more teams will play themselves out of contention.Comment

. I spent over an hour between many teams trying to figure out my best chance of landing a decent starter and a future bullpen/starter.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Just had the first blockbuster trade of the year go down and I wasn't involved:
Reds get:
C Joe Mauer
Twins get:
C Ryan Hannigan
SP Jeremy Huerta (A potential)
OF Ruiz (A potential)
Guess I had better get moving on making a deal to keep up.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Hi I was hoping I could get some advice on some future trades for my franchise. I am sorry that I am a bit vague on who I want to trade for, but I am honestly confused on what I should be looking for in the trade market.
First of all I am the A's(All teams have current players) and as of May 8th I am 21-13, I also play every game if that matters. I will not trade Coco Crisp, Yoenis Cespedes, Brandon Moss or Josh Reddick or Chris Young. Seth Smith is hitting .383 with 6 Hr, but despite his stats I will trade him. I dont want to trade those players, cause I like them all and its all I have really. Here is who I will trade
Hiroykui Nakajima .198 1 Hr 7 Rbi,
Jed Lowrie .212 5hr 10 rbi,
John Jaso .245 3 hr 14 Rbi.
Seth Smith .383 6hr 19 Rbi
Michael Choice A rated prospect(23yrs Old) Top 50 in the minors
I have Addison Russell in minors but if I get rid of him, then I have no one in the minors with value.
I dont want an allstar because I dont have the trade value for one, I am looking for a decent guy with contact to play 2B, 3B or SS. With my bottom of the line up guys mostly under .200 is starting to hurt me in games. Usually in the show I have an idea what to do, but with who I have to offer I am not sure on who to go after. I am thinking maybe Jordon Pacheco from the Rockies, he is a 75 overall 27 yrs with B pot. He has good contact and is what I need. So once again I am sorry for being vague, but I do want a decent IF player with contact, and if he is older thats ok.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
What do you guys think of this trade considering the new contract for Andrus?
Mariners get
Profar
Rangers get
Taijuan Walker
I am the Mariners and have good pitching depth (Maurer went up to A potential) but do I need to add more?Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Probably not realistic, but talent for talent, I suppose it's fair. Mariners definitley win that trade, but they're both top prospects. Maybe throw in another small prospect."I'm just gonna go out there, and call the Yankees my daddy" - Pedro Martinez
Red Sox
Celtics
Patriots
Bruins

Mariners fan here. That's not a terrible trade, but I would think it would take more to get Profar. You'd probably have to throw in Nick Franklin plus another pitcher, maybe C potential.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So my brother and I decided to start a franchise and we decided we each had to choose a team from the bottom of the pre season power rankings.....He chose Miami and I chose Cubs. Our agreement was either one of us has to approve all trades by the other, but we would come here for input if needed. We haven't even started yet, but I am exploring my options early and would love to move Soriano, yet he hates Soriano and his contract so he is already making it very difficult for me to be able to even move him. As far as he is concerned he is over valued on spreadsheet. So looking for some help here in convincing him from outside unbiased opinions of realistic trades that could involve Soriano. I would love as much feedback as possible so if you would consider taking Soriano in any deal please post it or even drop me a PM with it so I can try and figure something out. I don't expect more value than he is worth!!!! Only trying to find a happy medium between my brother and spreadsheet. It may end that I have to actually keep him but lets see what y'all can come up with to help me.Last edited by JDub0820; 04-15-2013, 05:34 PM.Comment

b.) A spreadsheet is available in the first post
c.) It depends on his salary
