I could see the dodgers wanting Utley to contend, and Gordon could help me out, as I want to make him a defense oriented speedy kind of guy. I'm just not sure if I want to give up Utley yet. What do you think about the trade with the numbers

Utley for Gordon + Reed is fine, yeah.

Would you do Sergio Santos for Adam Morgan or Roman Quinn?

Yes, either one if the Phillies are in contention and could use a boost in the 7-8th innings

I could see it happening if they really need some late inning help and are REALLY in contention, but otherwise I don't think they do it. I'd say Adam Morgan would be dealt more readily than Quinn.

Hey guys, I'm looking to trade for a power hitter for my Royals. Nobody like Stanton or so, I don't want to give up my entire farm system. Any suggestions who that could be and what a fair trade could look like?

If the Jays are out of it Bautista or Encarnacion? I saw an article on MLBTR earlier that said they felt like they could be moved this year if the Jays are out of it. Josh Willingham is another name that comes to mind, idk how you feel about trading within the division though...

Seth Smith of the A's comes to mind. Jesus Guzman of the Padres has some pop as well

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too, I'd do Morgan for Santos.

Josh Willingham? Mark Trumbo? Lucas Duda?

That was purely speculation from a Boston idiot and nope.avi and no and NO NONONONONO.

Plus, he said he didn't want to run the farm, and both those guys would involve a package with Starling++.

What about someone like Nelson Cruz? Any chance you guys think the Rangers would give him up this year - at least looking at the spreadsheet it certainly wouldn't gut the farm to acquire him.

Cruz is in the last year of his deal but I only think he'd be dealt this summer if the Rangers are out of it. He's probably gonna walk as a free agent but given how the Rangers lack other OF options, he's likely to stay. They need all the power they can get with Hamilton gone

Interested with a trade the CPU has just proposed in my 30-team controlled franchise. It is the All-Star Break and the Rangers have offered the Phillies Mike Olt for Jonathan Papelbon. Phillies are out and Rangers are in first by 10 games, but do need another RP because of injuries.

Now i don't think it is a fair one for one swap but if it is then say so or what do the Rangers need to add?

Mike Olt 76 OVR. .310 AVG/21 HR/73 RBI in AAA

                            Jonathan Papelbon 97 OVR/ 10 mil per for this and the next two years/ 1-0/ 0.58 ERA/ 26 SV

I'd actually call that a fair deal. Fills a need for both teams as the Phillies can rebuild at a position where they lack depth and the Rangers fill a contending need in their pen while dealing a prospect that's blocked in the majors. Big bonus for Texas that Papelbon actually has years left on the deal as well meaning Olt isn't strictly a rental for them

Nice, CPU makes up a fair deal that benefits both sides for a change.
