------ (spoilers for anyone reading my chise) -------
So my jaw has been on the floor for a solid minute. In the first pitch of Brian McCann's first at bat as a Blue Jay, he takes Hisashi Iwakama deep for a 2 run shot. Keep in mind, I don't hit that many dingers. Just a little update for you guys lol, I'm shocked.
Greeeeeat! I've been waiting, and waiting, and waiting, like a kid at Christmas, for the first McCann update in your 'chise...and BAM!!!
Just like that.
Cat out of the bag.
I guess I'll go get some actual work done.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I see these teams as teams that would consider trading for Headley because they need a 3B
Indians
Braves
Phillies (not really high on Michael Young)
Dodgers (unrealistic as it is)
But really none of these teams would give up an established MLB power hitter to fill one need because they would create another.
Swisher is unrealistic, he just signed. The entire Braves OF is unrealistic (Upton Bros) or untouchable (Heyward). Delmon Young is lol. Only slugger OF Dodgers have is Kemp and he is untouchable as well.
You're better off just trading Headley and Maybin for prospects reallyComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Indians have Chisenhall at 3B.
To the Cardinals for Freese, Jay, Martinez, and Maness.
ONLY IF YOU'RE USING 30 TEAM CONTROL: To the Blue Jays for Anthony Gose + DJ Davis + Drew Hutchison, then move Lawrie to 2nd base."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Chisenhall has been a huge disappointment in real life for the Indians though, that's why I suggested it.Comment

What if it doesn't have to be 100% realistic but more fair then realistic.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
fire sale in Miami (34-60)
Steve Cishek (3.54 ERA, 16 saves, 34 K) to the Blue Jays for OF DJ Davis (low B) and RP Jeremy Jeffress (mid B)?
The Jays hold the first wild card spot at 59-37 in spite of CP Casey Janssen who has a 4.55 ERA. They only have three guys in their bullpen with an ERA under 4.
Ricky Nolasco (2-8, 3.62 ERA, 85 K) to the Orioles for SP Eduardo Rodriguez (mid/high B)?
Jason Hammel is really struggling with a 5.43 ERA and Miguel Gonzalez and Chris Tillman both have ERAs over 4.50. They lead the division with a 61-35 record and Rodriguez is only their fourth best pitching prospect, behind Bundy, Gausman, and Britton.
I have a couple ideas for trading Giancarlo Stanton (.245, 21 HR, 45 RBI):
to the Red Sox for SS Xander Bogaerts (high A), SP Allen Webster (mid A), OF Jackie Bradley Jr. (low A), SP Anthony Raunado (high B), and 3B Garin Cecchini (mid B)?
Red Sox are in third place in the AL east with a .500 record but still in the hunt. They're using Bradley and Nava at the corner OF spots but they're both struggling.
to the Diamondbacks for SP Archie Bradley (high A), SP Tyler Skaggs (mid A), 3B Matt Davidson (high B), C Stryker Trahan (high B), and 2B Nick Ahmed (mid/low B)
Diamondbacks are in first place but Jason Kubel and Cody Ross are both hitting around .230. Not sure about this one because Bradley and Skaggs might be untouchable
to the Pirates for SS Allen Hanson (high A), SP Jameson Taillon (mid A), C Wyatt Mathisen (high B), OF Barrett Barnes (high B), OF Josh Bell (high B)
The Pirates are in 2nd place just a few games back and could use better production from their LF spot over Travis Snider.
Do these sound realistic and fair? And which Stanton trade do you think is best?Last edited by Kauffman King; 06-25-2013, 03:30 PM.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm playing Seattle right now so I figured I'd give updates on the trades I've made.
Josh Thole is hitting .220 for seattle, but he's their starting C/DH so far.
Rajai is hitting .290 with a .353 OBP for the Mariners, very nice!
And then the gem of the deal. Mo Sierra. Hitting .321, would be higher but I know how to pitch him and he doesn't have a hit this series I don't think.
Ackley is hitting .223 (up from .170) for me and hit a 3 run homer this game. I love his stance and I'm hitting line drives everywhere. Hitting something like .370 this week.
And Brian McCann, in 2 games today, is 5-7 with 1 double, 3 runs, 2 homers, 4 RBI, sweet fielding, a beautiful stance, and a 2.429 OPS haha! *SSS song here*
I'm loving these trades so far, even though I've already used up my max trades for the year I'm glad I did these, because this is great. McCann's stance is perfect. They shift him? He'll go opposite field, hit a homer, maybe both, hit a blooper, he's perfect. And Ackley's a magician at 2nd. Hell, even Kelly Shoppach is a great backup C, and Catricala is hitting .280 at AAA."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Too high for Nolasco. Send someone like Josh Hader (low/mid B) instead

I think the Red Sox would be the most likely team out of these 3 who would be willing to pay up for Stanton. Pittsburgh and Arizona seem too small market for those kind of movesComment

Former GM Jim Bowden put down this as a "dream deal" for the Brew Crew in his ESPN Insider blog the other day: Yovani Gallardo, Francisco Rodriguez and Aramis Ramirez to the Los Angeles Dodgers for pitchers Zach Lee, Chris Withrow, Ross Stripling and outfielder Alex Castellanos.| Brewers | Packers | Angels | Bucks | Badgers |Comment
