Chris Hernandez, SP recently called up to AA 3.98 ERA with 18 Ks in 20.1 IP D potential

I don't think this is quite enough for the Cubbies to move him. Plus they have Almora/Szczur/Soler/Andreoli/Lake and co. ticketed for the OF. What I'd suggest is to reduce the number of spects to 1, but give them a better P like Light or Workman would be good.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Orioles receive:
Steven Moya, RF .269/.338/.361 in AA with C potential

    Tigers receive:
Luis Ayala, RP 2.70 ERA with 31 Ks and 13 BBs in 56.2 innings

    Nothing wrong with this.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Yankees receive:
Andre Ethier, RF .242/.338/.440 (Wells is hitting under .180, Ichiro is at .218)

    Dodgers receive:
Manny Banuelos, SP 5.18 ERA 87 Ks 1.80 WHIP in 106 IP at AAA B potential
Austin Romine, C .260/.323/.382 in 65 games at AAA C potential
Dante Bichette Jr, 3B No stats C potential

Too much for an Ethier hitting .242. even if his salary is low (which probably means ALL of the salaries are equally as low, so he's still pricey), that's too much to get for him. Bichette or Romine, not both I'd think.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Pirates receive:
John Danks, SP 4.11 ERA 63 Ks 1.28 WHIP in 118.1 IP

    White Sox receive:
Chase D Arnaud, SS .257/.307/.323 in 75 games at AAA B potential

LOL, people have differing views on Danks in here, so I don't want to go into depth, but I might suggest the Sox already have a SS prospect close in Carlos Sanchez. Plus Alexi Ramirez still. So, not 100% sure they could use CDA. Nick Kingham would probably be too much, since he's a hot name, but Nick Kingham + Dilson Herrera might work if you throw in a pen arm on the Sox side like Crain or Jones.

I'm not too particular on what the actual value is, as long as it's in the B range. He's hitting .400 (yes, in a small sample) and his defense his outstanding (at SS anyway).

Another thing. I noticed the value for Kyle Crick is a high C I would recommend we jump that up to a high B, and maybe add a second value (high C or low B). Crick is unquestionably the Giants top pitching prospect, and though their system is weak overall, he's quite good actually. Most see a #2 starter if he can refine his command.

I would have PM'd you these but I figure the public should be able to chime in on this.
I'm not budging on Iglesias. Fixed Crick.

      In order:

I think the Cubs could get something more than Hernandez in addition to Hazelbaker.

Montoya for Ayala is fine. Side note, Ayala's a cool dude.

Send Wells back in that Ethier deal and it's fine.

I would swap d'Arnaud out for Tyler Glasnow or Nick Kingham. Maybe Luis Heredia.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

What do you guys think about Papelbon to Detroit for Rondon and Avisail Garcia? Not sure if I'm going to propose this yet but it's something I've been thinking about.

On a side note, I can't seem to get an answer for this anywhere else, so I hope this question is ok on this thread. Can a player's potential be bumped twice in a year? Ben Revere moved down to a mid B in my franchise and I was wondering, if I got him hot could he move back to a high B in the same year? Again, sorry if this isn't relevant to the thread.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Here are the revised deals with a few new ones thrown in.

          Cubs receive:
          Pat Light, SP, B potential
          Jeremy Hazelbaker, CF, C potential

          Red Sox receive: David DeJesus
          --------------------------------------------------------------------------
          Dodgers receive:
          Vernon Wells, LF
Dante Bichette Jr, 3B, C potential
          Austin Romine, C, C potential
          Manny Banuelos, SP, B potential

          Yankees receive:
          Andre Ethier, RF
Peter Moylan, RP, 4.15 ERA in AAA in 45 IP
          --------------------------------------------------------------------------
          White Sox receive:
          Nick Kingham, RP, B potential
Luis Heredia, SP, B potential 5.61 ERA in 96.1 IP in AA

          Pirates receive:
          John Danks, SP
Matt Lindstrom, RP, 4.12 ERA in 43.2 IP. The Pirates been has been awful
          --------------------------------------------------------------------------

A couple of blockbusters I am thinking about:

Blue Jays receive: Justin Morneau .278/.350/.487 with 16 HR
Twins receive: Christian Lopes, 2B, B potential and Deck McGuire, SP, C potential
Jays need help at 1B/DH with Encarnacion hitting .247/.318/.456 and Lind hitting .214/.294/.362

          The other blockbuster is
Cardinals receive: Ricky Nolasco 11-3 2.32 ERA .99 WHIP
Marlins receive: Starlin Rodriguez, 2B, B potential and Jorge Rondon, RP, C potential
The back end of the Cardinals rotation has been bad with Kelly and Westbrook both having ERAs north of 5. Rodriguez is expendable for the Cards with Carpenter in the majors and Wong raking in AAA.

            A.) Too much for Pap.

B.) I think it's technically possible, but don't bank on it.

DeJesus deal is fine, Ethier deal is fine, too much going to the White Sox in the Danks deal, no way in hell I'd give up Lopes for Morneau, and I think you could get more for Nolasco if you're MIA.

            To the Jays: Morneau, Dozier
            To the Twins: Sierra, McGuire

To the Cardinals: Ricky Nolasco, Steve Cishek
To the Marlins: Stephen Piscotty, Seth Maness

Yeah, I guess I was thinking that Detroit would overpay for a closer to try and make a run this year. What about Papelbon for one of them that I could pick? Unless one is more reasonable than the other.

Paps for Rondon and another small piece could work. They hold Garcia highly though.

Here I am trying to think of realistic trades and these three just happened:

                  Puig for Callaspo
Addison Russell, J Weeks and Michael Taylor for Rickie Weeks
Adam Lind for Paco Rodriguez and Corey Seager

*sigh* I guess I will have to go back to making all trades manual.

Definitely too much for Papelbon. I don't know if they would want a RP prospect back in return either. Maybe Holaday to replace Ruiz.

The Phillies look at Tommy Joseph pretty highly despite his struggles this year, mainly due to injury. They think he'll be ok to play for at least a couple years. And I disagree because the Phillies pretty much have one of the worst bullpens in the league other than Papelbon, and I think they'd want to try and grab Rondon to help solidify the bullpen for the future.

Yeah looking back Garcia and Rondon would be too much haha. What kind of small piece are you talking about, like a mid to low C?

                        Probably a mid-high C. Closer to high.

So Cliff Lee is 7-1 with a 1.72 ERA, and 64 K's in 78.1 IP. How much if at all does this raise his value on the trade market?

I think he's about as valuable as he is in real life with those stats, it's the lack of K's that concerns me.
