    Schoop and Arrieta for sure.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

It's April 23 in my Mariners franchise, and I want to make this trade:

      Mariners get:
      RF Travis Snider (18 G, .235 AVG, 2 HR, 11 RBI, .368 SLG)
      RP Duke Welker (1-0, 3.86 ERA, 10 SO, 7.71 K/9 in AAA)

      Pirates get:
SP Blake Beavan (0-1, 5.27 ERA, 13.2 IP, 1.32 WHIP)

I'm 13-9, third in the AL West, 1 game behind the leading Angels, and Pittsburgh is 11-10, 2.5 games back of the division lead. Beavan fits well in their rotation, as it's been struggling (4.03 ERA, 17th in MLB).

      Is this trade fair/realistic?

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Okay three trade questions. I control all teams (im at about all star break in my league) just want help making sure the trades are fair so decided to ask for advice/opinions:

        1) Yankees are in third place 4.0 behind Baltimore and 3.5 behind Boston. Marlins are in last about 20 games behind Atlanta and Washington. What would it take for the Yankees to get Ricky Nolasco? He's 6-8 4 something era. (like real life free agent after the year)

        2) Mariners are in fourth place 7 behind 1st place Oakland. What would it take to get Stanton from Miami? Stanton 15HR 265AVG can't remember RBI. I would think at least one or two of the top pitching prospects? Perhaps one Bevan and maybe Montero is expendable now?

        3) Last one: I am playing mostly as the Indians. I am 4 games under .500 third place 6.0 behind Detroit. I want to get Hellickson from Tampa Bay for this year and the future. I think I have to at least start with Cabrera (he's 240AVG 8HR starting to heat up after horrible start)? I don't want to give up Gomez but do not have a very deep system? Tampa is 4.5 back behind Yankees, Boston, Baltimore. Hellickson is pitching 500 high 3s era. Is it possible to even get him?

Thanks a lot all. Be harsh looking for trades that hurt both sides.

I don't think they trade for him now. St. Louis might, though. If you're dead set on Stanton to Miami it'll be something like Walker+Hultzen+Franklin+Zunino+Romero/Maurer but I don't really like that.

Ugh, Hellickson really should have been sold high on. Hellickson for Dorssys Paulino and Tony Wolters is fine.

Tyler Flowers is kinda really bad, so I figure J.P. Arencibia could be a fit on the White Sox if I don't deal him for Grimm (exploring all options). What do you guys think a trade fit would be? Addison Reed? I figure a good reliever or a young starter is probably what JP's worth.

Alternatively, the Twins and Astros could probably use a young catcher. Any fits there? Once again, I'd like pitching, but no real preference. I have a plan for my catching situation lol so I'll be moving Arencibia.

I'm high Reed, but he is just a reliever. I can see the following:

                  White Sox:
                  Mid B
                  JPA

                  Astros:
                  Veras, or Lyles
                  JPA

                  Twins:
I don't see them trading for him with Doumit and Herrmann and obviously Mauer.

I doubt the Astros send out any minor league talent for any MLB player. The fit isn't there with the Twins because of Mauer's extension, Doumit and the fact they don't have too much pitching either

I don't think the White Sox would give up Reed but maybe someone like Simon Castro? Is he still a B, i'm not sure.

What potential is Joey Dimichele, if he is in the game? Could be an interesting prospect at 2B for the Jays

Mauer probably can't/shouldn't be playing C full time, and Doumit isn't a catcher.

See above for the Twins. Who's Castro and Dimichele? Don't follow the White Sox's farm, too ****ty to bother.

But JPA really isn't an upgrade and with Morneau, Mauer, Doumit, Hermann that's quite a few players at C/1B/DH. Plus Arencibia isn't a world beater behind the plate either...

I couldn't tell you much about Castro besides that he was one of their higher pitching prospects a year ago. Some say last year was a fluke because of a huge FIP and ERA difference along with a lo BABIP but he was a solid B on the show last year.

Dimichele, from what I read, is one of the most polished hitters for the White Sox in the minors. He plays 2nd but, when I saw him in college at ASU, he played first so he can go back and forth between there. Idk what his potential translates to in the game though.

Dickey would have to be putting up some very good numbers to ged Odorizzi
