Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Link takes me to google docs login page, so nope. If I have to, I could always just create a ghost google account.
Or I could be that annoying guy who asks questions without checking the values first..Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Folks, I apologize! Let me explain.
I uploaded it as an excel file with that crappy PDF-esque view. To get around this view, I had to export it to Google Sheets, and after I did this, I forgot to the change the permissions. The link in the OP should be working for everyone, regardless of interwebz e-mail alliance!
My apologies, should be working."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

AC you are the man, and whoever else helped you with this! When you get of "legal" age Ill send you a case of Black Horse beer from Newfoundland lol.
Only thing that sucks is I play 2K...Trust me Ill be getting the PS4 when this Xbox wears down but its hard to judge what to give when we dont have letter values on players in 2K lol.Comment

5 star = A
4 star = B
3 star = C
2 star = D
As far as high and low values, I do this. If the guy has 4 stars and is trending up, I say that's a high B. An older player with 4 stars trending down is a B-. It's actually pretty easy to go from letters to stars imo.
Of course that's really only necessary for fake players, because you can just use the letter grade from the spreadsheet for players regardless of how many stars 2K gives them.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Actually it's not too bad.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
4-star with arrow up = high B
4-star with no trend = mid B
4-star with arrow down = low B
Does that help?
This system would be necessary in working with a large amount of cpu-generated players. For example, if you had got to season 4 or 5 in your 'chise and there were a bunch of new, fake players/prospects...it would help you relate them to the spreadsheet for trading.Last edited by WaitTilNextYear; 06-15-2013, 09:08 PM.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Yep, you got it for the most part. In that case, you'd find 2 4-star players, one trending up and the other with no trend.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
It's here
A paradigm is something revolutionary. Something new and groundbreaking that brings things forward. It's what Totte and I aimed for many months ago when we started this spreadsheet - to significantly improve everyone's quality of MLB 13: The Show gameplay.
And it's back.
I'm absolutely thrilled to present an updated version of the OS Trade Value Spreadsheet, now complete with:
- Every single player on every single team
- Updated free agents list
- Updated transactions
- Updated values
- Each team's top 20 prospects
Totte and I spent a lot of time on this and we hope you guys like it. Every single MLB player's in there. Hope you guys enjoy using it as much as I enjoy working on it and that it helps everyone form some damn good trades. Without further ado...
OS Value Spreadsheet 2.5
