Re: Franchise Player Ratings Decline
I don't know how he retired, it's a RTTS, I'm not privvy to anything above age, ability or Poor Free Agent Market. Players will drop 20 points and I have no means to delve into the exact reason.
As for only posting the negative, why does that matter? At this point I want issues corrected, coming in and being positive in all these thread's solves nothing. I stay out of those that I've not been afflicted by and only post in those that do.Comment

You can post issues without being negative. It's all about ton... In the retirement screen it would say why he retired. Re: Franchise Player Ratings Decline
Just started a franchise with a fantasy draft and I took Mo, Dickey, Derek Jeter and Cliff Lee; all four players dropped over 20 points in overall rating. Now I have a whole drafted team and not one player with the ability I drafted... Bad flaw in the game.
I'm wondering if with that current progression/regression system there is a chance that we will have players like Mariano Rivera in future years of your franchise, like that one exceptional player who is still going strong over 40 and maybe also somebody like RA Dickey who has his prime with 36.
Also, a mini vent: I have no idea why they changed Mo's motion last year... It was PERFECT!!!

Re: Franchise Player Ratings Decline
Just redraft, knowing that Mo and Jeter will be available in later rounds. Lee and Dickey still seem to be taken fairly early, maybe like round 5ish or sooner. It may be a flaw, but it's workable.Just started a franchise with a fantasy draft and I took Mo, Dickey, Derek Jeter and Cliff Lee; all four players dropped over 20 points in overall rating. Re: Franchise Player Ratings Decline
But the team I took, I liked what I had and played a couple of games already. Just a silly thing that could have been avoided is all I'm getting at.Comment

Re: Franchise Player Ratings Decline
Can someone explain this to me. In the franchise I did Jeter batted over .325 and won the silver slugger for shortstops...yet he dropped 20 points in his overall. How does that make sense at all? This game is flawed!

Re: Franchise Player Ratings Decline
it's not flawed it's his decline. he's been declining for years defensively, he's gotta retire at some point, if you skip spring training it wont be so drasticBeavers|Red Sox|Buccaneers|NBA HoopsComment

Re: Franchise Player Ratings Decline
So you mean to tell me that if Jeter bats .325 this year in real life...that in MLB The Show 14 he is going to be a 70 overall? That makes no sense. None of this makes sense.Comment
