If someone is only seeing the odd changeup, for example, then they the tendency, if you arent used to seeing it is to swing in front of it. When you play full counts you get the feel of different pitches which may be lacking here?

This sounds pretty good. I do wish we had the option to get the unavailable counts, even if they were rare. If I had one of these counts 2-5 times a game it would increase the play time minimally. I do see what Russell is saying though, especially if the counts were weighted equally. This is good progress for the game. I just hope for a middle ground in 2015.

I think that most people actually swing at the first pitch of an at bat or all of them in some cases. Playing people online over the years has given me that impression. Most The Show players are not very patient. Some are and the more dedicated ones (as in OS users) probably are more patient than most. The generated pitch counts might actually give those players a chance to hit in counts they don't enounter very often, like 3-1, 2-1, 3-2, etc.

Can anyone confirm that generated pitch counts WILL be in the vita version as well? In years past the hand held version sometimes did not receive the same "new" features as the ps3 (now ps4) platform

This is my exact problem when playing RTTS. When you only have 4-5 at bats per game, it's extremely difficult to gauge the speed and movement of different pitches. This isn't an issue in AA/AAA, but at the major league level, there are some nasty pitchers. My easy fix is to lower the difficulty one notch compared to my franchise.

This is a huge feature for me. I love baseball but mostly stuck to RTTS in past games due to not really having time to play whole games. This will be a game changer in that regard, and is probably the best way to speed up game play in a baseball video game that I can imagine. I get that it isn't for everyone, but for me it's perfect.

This is a huge feature for me also as I just dont have the patience anymore playing 2 to 3 hours games as I lose interest and I like to get a taste of many games and different teams for my buck.

But the biggest plus to me is hopefully all the long drawn out AI programmed drama stuff , 12 pitch battles ect can be compressed feeling wise into a 3 pitch at bat where you still have the excitement .

I like the thought of a battle with preset situations like 2-1 or 1-2 and I how I can approach them but we shall see pretty soon.
