Well, the part about the possibility of implementing early counts in the future wasn't covered in the original explanation...

No big deal, I don't want to push "my agenda" regarding the feature, but it's a rare treat to actually interact with one of the developers...

It's STILL a boon to my gaming style re: The Show, "as is"...

It can be any count....even 0-0.

Negative you will never see a 0-0 count. There will always be at least one ball and one strike for every quick count.

Somewhere in this thread it was confirmed 0-1 and 1-0 pitches are in the mix.

You won't see those counts either, you will only see mid or late counts.

not sure if this was answered earlier or not... i know it can not be turned on mid game but can it be turned on just say for pitching? or if it is turned on it is for both offense and defence?

curious to know if this was answered but since you can't turn off or on the quick pitch mid game, will the quick pitch option ask you if you want to use it before the start of every game or will you have to go into your options every time to activate it?

Personally disappointed there aren't any 1-0 or 0-1 counts. However, I do see their focus. I just think it will jack up pitch counts a bit too much for the obvious reasons.

Also, I wonder if guys will tend to stretch out their starters now and get them into the 110+ pitch games which should lead to arm issues/injuries.

Could make those durable pitchers more valuable

yeah i know it would be i meant can you have it just for one...like if i was hitting id rather play from a 0-0 count but pitching i wouldnt mind seeing GPC

Because pitchers operate under a different energy depletion algorithm in quick counts than they do in a regular game. Along with the different logic for how CPU batter and pitchers approach at bats.

Russell, Can you please explain the count process or at least where it will start?
What will be the minimum quick count?

1-0 - 0-1 or 1-1

For clarity purposes, by saying it's a game MODE, does that mean we would have to select this option before a season starts and can't be changed or can it be toggled on and off within a franchise save?

Like 2 out of 3 games of a series played with it off but one played with it on?

that is exactly what I want to know. I was planning on using the quick pitch counts on the 3rd game of series just to move the season along quicker.

he said its active for both...i was wondering if there is an on/off for each specific option... maybe thats what he meant it just wasnt clear to me so i thought i would make sure..dont see the issue in that
