So should I get the digital copy (preferred) or the hard copy given the frame rate issues? Are people with the hard copy having the same issues?

Its really going to be up to you, but yeah mine is a hard copy and I have the issues.

Its steady, just choppy looking compared to the past. Reminds me of the ghetto 2k baseball games they made for the psp.

Its still a good game though, especially if you want roster updates.

I also have hit several solo home runs and they all are different lengths. I guess I have a great copy of the game!! Lol

Re: MLB 14 The Show Impressions From the Community (PS Vita)

Bought the Vita version to tide me over until the PS4 version drops.
          Quick impressions:

          - Bought the hard copy of the game and no frame rate issues.

          - Great hit variety, I've probably played for 2 hours, if that long, and seen a mix of bloop hits, line drives, ground ball hits, everything, much improved!

          - Pitching seems harder to locate, which I like, using Pure Analog

          - Quick Counts is a huge plus, would be impossible to go back, I'll probably do a mix of quick count games and traditional in my franchise.

          - New menus are well done

          - Budgets seem right on to begin with, I injured Medlen and Beachy and picked up Ervin Santana as in real life for 1 yr/$9.8 mil, and pretty much maxed out my budget. Haven't simmed a whole season to see the offseason increase (really hoping the huge increases are not true).

-Graphics on par with last year, new fielding animations look well done.

-New hitting and pitching stances for the Braves anyways, seem to be spot on.

Only negative: the new camera is great from an aesthetics standpoint, very difficult to judge on defense so far, I'm sure it will get better with practice.

All in all, seems like SCEA has really perfected everything, I can only imagine what the PS4 version will bring.

I think the resolution is a little less sharp than last years as well.

The thing I like about the new camera is it shows a lot of different areas of the ball park, I love seeing the upper deck behind home plate and other areas when you foul off a ball

I've strictly played RTTS. I have played about 8 games so far and have only experienced some framerate issues after batting practice.

The cut scene where my player talks to the coach seems to lag a little, other than that this game has played flawlessly.

I haven't played The Show since 10 and I am highly enjoying my experience. Having no replay blows, but it was expected knowing I'm playing a handheld game.

Loving the game with quick counts right now. The base running animations are silky smooth. No more awkward turn at third.

Does anyone know how to turn on quick counts in RTTS?

How do you turn quick counts on, period? I can't find it anywhere.

edit- NM, I was looking around in the options before even going into a game and then started up and game and, well, you know.

No framerate problems here either. Hard copy. 32gb memory card. Firmware 3.12 update.

It's in the menu before you start a game. Where you select no. innings, weather, etc.

I am starting to wonder if its a digital problem. It's just odd because all my games are digital and never had this issue, especially on any MLB games. My framerate issues are bad - this is usually the only game I play on the vita all year long, but unless its fixed I have to go back to my 2013 copy.

When the CPU hits, it drops at least 10 frames. It slows down your fielders getting to the ball or even your reaction to field grounders and make a throw.

I do have first day Vita, but all up-to-date on firmware with a 32gb card.

Got my copy. Gonna enjoy it for what it is. Hopefully see you guys in a few years. I've learned to stay away from bugs and complaint threads but thanks for the impressions! Cheers to 2014!
