i just remember now..i got J.Rollins to play as SS for my cubs and bat 2nd...guess what 13 games so far in the season and he has stolen 0 bases in 6 attempts!! 0%!!!!!
      c'mom!
its very strange but when rollins tried to steal its ugly .,... seems he is F.Thomas running! hes aways way out...
J.Jones is picked off most of the time but at least its aways close calls..

I have a dumb question. If you move the slider bar all the way to the left when you push right the first time you hear the click but the bar doesn't move, but when you push right the second time you see the bar. So when you say 12 for power do you mean counting the first click that you don't see, or is the first click you see the first one that "counts"?

I kind of even confused myself with all of that but maybe somebody will know what I mean.

I completely understand what you are asking. I mean 12 as in +2 from default. I didn't go to zero and move up b/c of the whole "invisible"(sp?) click thing and I wanted to keep the game as close to default as possible. I hope that helps you.

The problem is I had already moved them from default before I put your's in so I'm not sure if they are right.

Could you check it and see?

Hey man, I just checked for ya. It seems that it is just 12 clicks from the beginning even though you don't see the first one. It looked lined up to me. I wish there were numbers instead, ya know?

I've got to say these are the best sliders that have been posted here. I played so many games trying to get the hitting sliders just right (still getting too many hits) and ended up just about where you're hitting sliders are. Right now, I have User contact at 2, CPU contact at 4, and User and CPU power at 12. All of the other slider settings are pretty much spot on and really only need to be adjusted 1 to 2 clicks at the most, which is just due to the fact that everybody has slightly different gameplay preferences. The only thing I have to recommend is to move the injury slider up because in the first month of my franchise (which I played every MLB game), I have only had one in-game injury. I also changed from a wide strike zone to a tight zone to get more walks. I do prefer the wide setting but just was not getting enough walks because you have to swing at those borderline pitches because they may be strike 3. I would have posted sliders too but they are pretty much the same with only very slight differences.

I agree, I enjoy using these sliders the most as well, wish there would be more up to date posts on franchises, records, stats, etc....

Hey man...Thanks for the good words. I am having a blast with this game. The injury thing is funny as I thought the same thing and then I lost Sheffield for a month after he slid home (Broken shin bone) and Pavano left after throwing 4 pitches in one game. Of course, I have had a few of the pregame types.

Thanks to you too. I will post a stat update after I get to 40 games (I'm at 36) Hopefully, by the end of the week.

I am using a slightly modified version of these sliders. I have to say, HOF plays as good a game of baseball as I have ever played on any console in 25 years. The at bats on both sides are intense. Playing small ball is a must on HOF. I have seen a lot more balls on HOF, more walks, better play by the AI, and after trying veteran and all star, I believe HOF is definitely the way to get the most out of The Show. Keep up the good work on the sliders. I can say that since I have moved to HOF (prolly 5 games ago), the hit and hr totals have been really realistic, and so have pitch counts and such.

Just want to know if any of you have been shut out, had 2-1 games, or any other lower scoring games? I am horrible at pitching, the least amount of runs I've given up is 3 and won that game 8-3. The least I've scored is 2, and lost 11-2. The only one run game I've had was 5-4 on the losing end.

I have had a couple of nail biters on HOF, 3-2, 5-3, a lot of 1 or 2 run games. Came close to a shutout, but a National hit a 2 run homer off my starter in the ninth to spoil my complete game shutout though.

I think I could have had at least two shutouts but I left my starter in to complete the game and lost both shutouts in the 9th. If I would have brought in a fresh reliever, I probably would have be able to get both shutouts.
