Re: Favre4vr's HOF slider tweaks
tigers 7 11 3
Braves(me) 6 13 0
Had a blast playing this game!! 13 inning nail bitter!
I was still playing with the errors at +5 and the tigers commited 3 of them.. an overthrow to first by Inge, Dropped routine fly ball by Logan and an overthrow attempted pickoff by k.rogers...
Only struck out 12 times in 13 innings whcih is an improvement.. 4 doubles but still no HR's (Still getting the swing into season form)
I wonder if it's just a matter of playing teams with bad defenses..because at +5 they commited 3 errors and it was the Tigers =)
Gonna end spring training and begin the season..wish me luck!!Seattle Pilots GM (2011 - ) Record: 152 - 195

Re: Favre4vr's HOF slider tweaks
I played two games tonight with errors bumped up to +8 (18). Game one, zero errors (Yanks and A's). Game 2--two errors, both dropped flyballs (Erstad and Sheffield). I am starting to think it doesn't really matter what the setting is as at +3 I had more errors than at +5 or +8. And looking at
ty5oke having 3 errors at +5 is making me wonder. I will keep experimenting.
Tomorrow I will play a few more at +8. Then, I will go back to my original +3 and see if there is any difference. I am starting to think at +8 you will see too many passed balls. We'll see. Thanks to all for testing and posting your results. Keep em coming.
TONIGHT's Linescores
NYY 9R 15H 0E
Oak 10R 13H 0E
NYY 3R 8H 1E
ANA 4R 9H 1E
As you can see from all of my results posted, the game really gives nice, variable scores with each game feeling different. This has nothing to do with sliders IMO, just great programming.Last edited by Gary Armida; 03-10-2006, 12:44 AM.Formerly Favre4vrComment

I hate errors like that, i rather see like bounce off the glove or missed dive or between the legs( I seen this only once, vs the mets( LOL).Comment

I dont get that, why would you make the laser arms into mega laser arms?, thats one of the things i dont like about the game, i guess some people love laser arms, that even on default is too fake.
I agree. I think -5 for arm strength is the way to go. Plays in the whole are close at first, but yet you don't see too many IF singles. Also players score from second the majority of the time on base hits, which is a fundamental part of baseball. That's the first thing I check in baseball video games.Comment

you play on HOF?, i doubt the AI allows you to do soo many triples there. I hardly seen any, i have had some but both in that big *** A's stadium with hits that clearly were supposed to be HRs but the huge wall stopped them.
I remember just seeing the AI stand there waiting to make the play off the wall and by that time my AUTO BASERUNNING players just went ahead. Speaking of that, are you using that? if you think your guys are doing to many triples then lower the baserunning, clearly your team is already aggressive enough.
Remember all teams have diffrent stuff that makes them unique from each other.Last edited by JOEdellis; 03-10-2006, 10:55 AM.Comment
