    Okay....I'm practically ecstatic right now!

    I've got a game going right now...Jose Reyes on second....Beltran singles up the middle(where else?:wink: ) and Kotsay gets to the ball....medium depth centerfield and tries to gun down Reyes at the plate direct throw.
    I use Nems sliders except that I put the arm strength at +9(I started all the way up and have been working my way down) and the accuracy at -7. The only other thing I did was raise baserunning(NOT STEALING) aggression for the CPU to +3.

    The other thing was.....Beltran at first.....Wright hits a single to RF...and Franceour(sp) gets Beltran at third!....(straight through throw!)

    ...and......same game.....Kelly Johnson went from first to third on a Chipper Jones single to RF and Church tried to get him at third but the throw was off line...but straight through...

    I'm just testing....and keep working my way down.
    I know some guys think there are "rocket arms"....but I see the guys going first to third....second to home and tagging up...so I don't see a problem with that(I think the baserunning aggression slider helps)

      You can if you want but going to +5 without edits will work. Their throw speed visually looks like a max press on the throwing meter for the human.

        Non-disclosure agreement. The thing developers and beta testers sign that says they won't leak any information before the release. And it was a joke.

          Nem...you're finding +5 enough to get the throws directly to bases?....If so, I'll stop testing..I guess I should have went with your +5 up( I don't know why, but I always work down when testing...bad habit)....

                uhmm i use auto baserunning, and i have the agreesion set to +10...evan with that i dont see dumb baserunning like i saw in 07, when the agression was that high...
                i think after this weekend of playing, about 20games ive only got gunned in the basepatchs once, and it was with j.cust from all people. haha..
                but than again, i was using throw speed at -1..never higher..

                now i wonder how this +5 in the throw speed will work with the ratings edits(50% lower speed, 0 reaction, 50% lower arms and accurance)..
                do u think that evan with weaker arms, but with this slider high, the OF will still try to gun people down without using the relay every single time?

                  At +5 I see the throws consistently. +4 was spotty, +3 and lower was virtually non-existent.

                    They will do it if they are at the right depth in the field. If they are deep they will use the cut!

                        HEY!...
                        As you posted this...Church just got to a ball that hit off the wall....someone(I'm only half paying attention) came around from third to try and score...and Church hit the cut-off man and they made a nice(but not really close) play at the plate...safe...but nice to see that it's not like they will disregard the cut-off man!

                          So Knight/Nemsis,

                          Are these sliders (Nemesis sliders) that you guys are using in conjunction to any player edits that Knight is doing? Or are you using the default roster attributes with slider adjustments?

                          Also Knight, if you need to tweak attributes to make the game shine, is that something that will be released by opening day as you said for your rosters, or is that date only for all players and no edits?

                          Thanks you two for awesome work, I really can't wait to try this stuff out.

                            That's a good question that I'm curious about as well.

                            I think some of us are making changes to the speed of the players to help with extra base hits and opening up the alleys and lines.

                            With this in mind, will the diminished speed that is edited into individual player attributes have a negative effect with bumping up the throwing speed? Or is this something that can be balanced out by using the baserunner speed SLIDER?

                            Any thoughts?

                              Maybe...but what's nice about that is...if it makes the slider adjustment too extreme....we can knock the slider down....or adjust the baserunner speed up(along with aggression)....like you said.

                                does the baserunning speed CPU slider work at all?
                                i havent notice any changes with -10 or +10...
                                this is a important thing to consider, since were about to lower everyones speed, that also mean theyll be slower in the basepatchs, and than that could be another problem to finnaly get those x-base hits.
