Should I up the Power by a click or 2? I rarely use the power swing, since I never do it when there is a strike being thrown and you can't check swing so I want to basically cut it out completely and be able to hit a realistic amount of HR's with just the contact swing.

Or is it better to lower the CPU Fielder Reaction (not sure what it is called but I believe it is the equivalent to this) to allow for more doubles/triples?

    Thanks in advance.
Bring contact up to -8 instead of -10 and bring power up to +2 - +3. The cpu fielder reaction time slider is already maxed. Unfortunately it needs a few more clicks to be effective. Try those adjustments and let me know how it goes and thanks for trying these!

      Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)

I made this set for a friend who was struggling with offense. I am still using the other set and this one is NOT a replacement. This one generates too much offense for me but I thought I would throw it out there for people who are struggling for extra base hits. It helped him, let me know if you see a difference.

I put this set in the post also so that people did not have to search through a lot of pages. This is the main one used and posted online in the sliders section.

I play on the PS3 and these sliders did wonders for me, I never had so much fun playing a baseball game, seriously, and I lost, haha. Great sliders Nemesis!

These sliders are brilliant. Most realistic baseball experience on a video game ever. The only change I have made is that I adjusted the CPU Batter Plate Discipline from -2 to 0. In my Royals franchise, I just wasn't hardly getting any strikeouts at all....like 3 a game at most. Not that I should get a ton, but I figured I'd try this and see. I'm only 12 games in, so I might have to move it back if I start striking out too many.

          Great work.

            Nemesis,

What changes would we exactly need to make to the sliders if we want to use Classic Pitching? And, do you recommend Classic?

The 3 sliders that need to be changed for classic pitching are: pitch command, pitch movement and wild pitch frequency. All of these sliders would need to go back to default and depending on the user, would need to be adjusted maybe a click or two but nothing drastic.

As far as recommending classic pitching, it really is a personal preference. I like the meter the best, you can have very challenging games even if you have the ability to master the perfect release point. Since the meter follows the pitcher's wind-up, it gets challenging when they pitch from the stretch because the meter goes faster with the shorter wind-up. Add on paying attention to runners on base and you have your hands full. With classic you pick the break location and press a button for a certain period for velocity and the cpu takes care of the rest. It can offer just as much challenge but to me it feels too open ended. I like to be the cause of my pitching success' and failures. Good luck in your decision!

I see this is your first post. Welcome!

Hi Nemisis. Thanks for the sliders. I'm having a ball with them. Just wanted to let you know how my (Mets) season has been going. I played all my spring training games (Never done that before). I finished with a 10W-20L record. My record so far in the regular season is 12W-10L. My pitching has been good, hitting is not that great, but am not worry about it. Regardless of the scores, some of these games were heart pumping THRILLERS. Here are the scores.

Thanks for the feedback Catman! I like those scores, you shut them down, they shut you down, some extra innings. Sprinkle in the occasional blow out and it would be perfect. The hitting will come and all of a sudden you will be on a tear. Good luck with the season and thanks again!

I have the same record as you..Im currently 12-10 with the Yanks...Should have been 13-9 but I just lost a heartbreaker against the Jays...

Please ignore if this bores you but i need to vent..lol...helps me cope i guess I was cruising with Mussina until the 8th..I was leading 3 to 1 and I decide to bring in Farnsworth to set up the game for Mo...I get the first 2 out easily..then the Jays hit back to back singles with Wells the Big hurt coming to the plate...I get the big hurt to pop out to the warning track and im think YESSSSSS..i got out of that one..before i know it i see Damon botch the fly ball for an error. Since there were 2 outs the runners were running on contact and the 2 runs scored and the big hurt ended up at 3rd...The game is now tied and Wells ropes a single to bring in Thomas..I end up loosing the game 4-3

Im pissed but man i love this game!!!

Tell you what, I've played like 6 games now, still haven't won a game, and I'm my New York Yankees. After awhile it starts getting frustrating, my pitching and defensive game are good, but I'm horrible at-bat, it's probably just me, but it's frustrating, and I raised the contact to -8 too...hopefully I can get that first win under my belt really soon, haha.

Having the contact slider at -10 is very difficult at first because you will not get solid hits if you are not accurate with your left stick aiming. Backing it down to -8 and maybe a little bump in power will get you going in the right direction!

Awesome job on the sliders man. Realistic gameplay and if you turn guess pitch off it is challenging.
Thanks! You are correct about the guess pitch, I do not use it either!
