Please ignore if this bores you but i need to vent..lol...helps me cope i guess I was cruising with Mussina until the 8th..I was leading 3 to 1 and I decide to bring in Farnsworth to set up the game for Mo...I get the first 2 out easily..then the Jays hit back to back singles with Wells the Big hurt coming to the plate...I get the big hurt to pop out to the warning track and im think YESSSSSS..i got out of that one..before i know it i see Damon botch the fly ball for an error. Since there were 2 outs the runners were running on contact and the 2 runs scored and the big hurt ended up at 3rd...The game is now tied and Wells ropes a single to bring in Thomas..I end up loosing the game 4-3

Im pissed but man i love this game!!!
I hear ya man. This game is full of thrilling moments.

Yea, thats what I did, although haven't played a game yet with the "improved" sliders, but I'll let you know how it goes as soon as I do.

I just started using your sliders and I like them so far. I've tried a few different sliders so far and some are too easy and some too hard. I'm playing as the Cubs and in my first game with the sliders and i'm playing the Brewers. I was down 3-0 until the 8th when I hit a 2-run homer and then i got another run in the 9th to tie it. I'm all pumped up now. So I decide to bring in Ohman to face Fielder to make it lefty vs. lefty, but he hits a solo homer to take the lead and I end up losing the game. Then in the second game against the Cardinals, I get a good lead to make it 9-2 and it's in the bottom of the ninth for the Cards. I bring in my closer, Ryan Dempster, to get him some work, but he struggles, so I bring in Bob Howry and they blow a 7 run lead and I end up losing 10-9. It just seemed impossible to retire anyone in that inning. Now my record is 11-12.

Good grief, blowing a 7 run lead...I woulda been furious, hahaha.

Alright, after playing 3 more games, I still haven't won a dang game out of like 10 now with my Yanks...hell, I've only gotten 1 HR, and 2 regular runs out of all those games. Maybe I just suck, but it's getting really frustrating too the point that I don't even want to play anymore, but it's such a great game...just, good Lord, maybe be a little fair sometimes. I know I'm not horrible at hitting either, everytime I make contact with the ball, it's either a grounder or a pop up...it's just getting really frustrating that I can maybe only get an average of 4 hits a game, and they all come when I already have 2 outs.

I just could not believe that it happened. And the sad thing is I had my supposedly best relievers blow it. I'm gonna play again now and hopefully I can get a win. I've lost 4 in a row now.

Keep upping the contact slider until you start to see some more offense. Hang in there!

why do people feel a need to mess with the sliders on HOF when most of them havent even mastered that level?

HOF at default is a nice warm-up. Starting off with these sliders definately can lead to fustration at times, especially with the hitting!

Hey nemesis, I play on All Star because my reflexes are horrible and i have a hard time using the zoned hitting. I use timing only when swinging. I am currently using your sliders on All Star, but i bumped power for CPU and Hum to +3. My hitting seems good so far, but the CPU hitting is awful, probably cause i am on all star, any tips on how to make pitching a little harder on All Star? thanks alot, nice work by the way.

-These were developed from using the pitching meter. If you use classic pitching, some things will have to be adjusted. Especially the command slider.
-I have the strike zone off and vibration off. That is up to you!
Going to give these a shot with a few minor adjustments though, I have user contact at default since Im horrible at hitting, CPU pitching aggression at 0 instead of 2, CPU pickoff attempt freq. at 10 instead of 4, CPU contact at 10 instead of 0, CPU power at 10 instead of 9, CPU base running aggression at 10 instead of 7, stolen base freq. at 11 instead of 13. I have been having good games on, for the most part, default HOF sliders but need to fine tune it a bit and hopefully these will accomplish that. On a side note, if hitting begins to become easier should I just lower the contact slider ever so slightly as I get better? Secondly, by leaving the contact at default for me, this wont negatively effect any of the other settings you have posted will it? Thanks in advance.

As far as making the pitching harder, are you classic or meter?

As far as increasing the offense for the cpu, start raising the contact slider. If you have it at -10 then bring it to -8. Leave the power at 3 but no higher. Keep adjusting contact until you are comfortable with what the cpu offense is doing. Let me know how it goes!

That is a lot of moving around. Honestly, I do not know how they would play out.

Having the cpu at default is going to generate a lot of offense. To me you lose some hit variety at default.

Personally, I do not like the cpu running aggression slider at default because the cpu makes poor choices running the bases. Especially with balls hit right in front of them.

Overall, leaving the cpu and human power and contact slider at default really changes things. It will play a different style of ball. Not saying there is a right way or wrong way, ultimately it is what you feel comfortable with!
