    Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)

Just finished another game against the Giants.

    Giants 2 7 0
    Cubs 5 11 0

This game was a lot of fun. Very close at times. Soriano and Kendall both had solo homers. Also, I was wondering why you have the wind effect slider so high. At Wrigley, it was blowing 33 mph to right.

I had it up high to add some challenge in the outfield. I could see if you played your games at Wrigley where you would need to tone it down some.

Your box scores look fine overall. The more you play the more diverse your games will be.

your sliders and this level are starting to take their toll on me... while on a current 13 game stretch with out a day off in my last three games ive been struck out a total of 37 times... (14. 11, 12). my team isnt hitting or pitcing right now... so i finally broke down and did it. said screw it if i go broke and cant afford to sign players i dont care... i got the team jet!!! it only cost me i tad over 20 million and i still have 16 mil to play with with one more nice long home stand in the midst.

so here is to my team coming back to life and kicking some serious tail..

oh yeah ive suffered my first back to back shut out losses of my season.. me not a happy manager right now!!

losing streak now at four tying my longest of the year, traded in the team plane for the team bus after finding out that you dont get to keep it in yeat tw after simming ot year two.

add another 15 K's to that strike out total over the last four games. this game was brutal took a lead mid way through and then bull pen blew it... lost 7-6 in the series finale with seattle... not a good thing...

What camera angle do you recommend using while pitching?

I'm used to using the view from behind the pitcher. Do you use the camera behind the hitter at all times?

I use the outfield cam when pitching. It makes it harder to pin point pitches.

Nemesis...Thanks for the sliders. Quick question. I'm cosidering playing HOF default sliders but feel I need to adjust the contact slider downard for both human and cpu to prevent an unrealistic amount of hits. What would you suggest? I'm thinking 7 contact and 10 power for both human and cpu. Thanks again.

I brought this foward for you. There are different sets for different outcomes regarding offense. The higher the negative number with regards to contact, the harder it will be to manufacture hits.

To make things clear I treat default as 0. Any tweak to the right will have a (+) in front of it and any tweak to the left will have a (-) in front of it.

                        Human

                        Pitcher Fatigue:
                        -Starting: 0
                        -Relief: +3
                        Pitch movement: +8
                        Pitch Command: -8
                        Wild Pitch Freq: +3
                        Set 1 [Contact: -10 / Power: +1]
                        Set 2 [Contact: -8 / Power: 0]
Set 3 [Contact: -6 / Power: +2] Use this if you like a lot of offense in your game!
                        Set 1 [Plate Awareness: -3]
Set 2 [Plate Awareness: +6] ( If you like foul ball battles with the pitcher try this setting, there will be some great ones. Be aware that this may cut down on your k number.
                        Error Freq: +10
                        Throwing Strength:+2

                        Passed Ball Freq: +3

Set 2 [Contact: -8 / Power: -2] This is where I am currently at!
                        Set 3 [Contact: -8 / Power: 0] More offense.
Set 4 [Contact: -7 / Power: +1] There is going to be a lot more offense at this setting. Be careful!
Set 1 [Batter Plate Discipline: +5]
Set 2 [Batter Plate Discipline: -1] This will loosen up the cpu hitters to swing some more if so desired.

                        Pitch Count: +7

I completed a series with these sliders. I used the D-Rays and took on the Yankees in hopes of getting beat. Losing the series would help me determine whether the sliders are too easy or not. My results:

                                Game 1:
                                NYY 1 5 0
                                TB 3 8 1
                                W - S.Kazmir
                                L - C.Wang
                                S - D.Wheeler
                                HR - J.Posada, C.Pena (2)

                                Game 2:
                                NYY 6 13 0
                                TB 4 8 0
                                W - A.Pettite
                                L - J.Shields
                                S - M.Rivera
                                HR - J.Posada, D.Navarro, L.Gonzalez

                                Game 3:
                                NYY 8 14 0
                                TB 1 9 1
                                W - P.Hughes
                                L - C.Billinglsey
                                HR - D.Jeter, A.Rodriguez, J.Giambi, L.Gonzalez

I outpitched them in the first game with Kazmir but their offense busted out the next 2 games. Stats seemed realistic.

Do you think that's too many HRs?
