Also I change my pitching view ( Outfield I use classic ) does this have any effect on your sliders. I seem to have alot more control with my release point,when Iam pitching.Hop60

i want to strikeout more when i'm at the plate...or at least swing and miss more...what can i tweak?

You need to lower the vision slider and can also increase pitch movement for the cpu.

My first game with a Phillies franchise I hit 6 2B's and drew 2 walks. Should have been more walks but I swung at some junk early on.

I lost 6-1 as Hannan (WASH) was on early and got very confident with his pitches. He pitched into the 8th inning.

I struck out 8 of their hitters and walked 4 :-(

We struck out 8 times as well I think.

That is a lot of doubles to only come up with one run. What happened?

Nem04 its hop60, just played 3 game with your sliders, first two games i was beat in one run ball games. 3rd Game I hit the stuffing out of the ball, but I change the batting view ( High ). Does this change effect the sliders in anyway.

The view does not affect the sliders. It just changes the way you see the ball when at the plate.

I use outfield view as well when pitching. This does not affect anything, just a different vantage point.

Man...I've played 10 games now in my Reds franchise, I haven't had anything but homeruns or singles through 10 games. The CPU hasn't either.

What changes can I make??

Nem04 its hop60 again, I was wondering since you use ( outfield ) pitching when playing, due you have any trouble with catcher view when playing online, does that view effect your timing on your release point, I seem to lose control alot more at this view point.When pitching from the outfield it seems more like real pitching, with great fluid motion. I guess what Iam saying is what is your opinion on the two. Hop60

Actually, pitching to me seems easier with the catcher view becaue you are able to pinpoint location better. Remember, you are playing the game with default sliders online, so the game will play differently especially when my sliders adjust classic pitching to reduce passed balls, etc.

2nd game we win 9-1. We hit 2 2B's and 3 HR's. Meyers pitched a complete game giving up 1 run, striking out 7, walking 2, and 3 hits.

The first game was just weird that we didn't score much. 2 out hits and not performing with RISP. I also accidently did a double steal with runners at 1st and 3rd while simply trying to have the guy on 1st steal. Woops! It worked the 2nd game. Rollins has 3 steals through 2 games and they haven't even been CLOSE at getting him out.

Nem, I DL'ed your sliders a few days ago just to try it out and wow. Everyone knows some of us have been having issues with too many hits for singles or whatever. Last night I played a few games.

Never had I had so few hits! Yeah! Great games!
Small sample I know but so far so good.

Not sure if you adjusted or anything but as far as the ones on sports connect the only thing I adjusted was cpu pitch control at max.

nem04 quick question on pitch movement, what effect does this slider have on pitching, I see no real difference between -10 or +20. Does the movement of pitches reflect the pitchers edit in the roster. Once in while I see the Cpu throw a great slider, the way it should look. I try to throw the same pitch, and I see very little movement, no matter what release point I use, slow or fast with the X button. I read your blog on classic pitching, so I know the 3 different releases you mentioned. Your knowledge on this matter would be very helpful to my play. Thanx Hop60.
