Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)

The power is balancing out for me now. Through 14 games I had 4 homers. Now I've hit 6 in the last two games so 10 through 16 games. I hit back to back homers early on against the Cardinals, then hit a pinch hit walk off in the 9th to win it. The next game I was in Chicago with a 25mph wind blowing out to left and couldn't keep anything in the yard. 11 total homers in the game, 3 by me, 8 by the Cubs, including 2 by Carolos Zambrano lol. Both were on pitches that I left in the the middle of the plate. Mark DeRosa had 3 bombs in the game. It was definitely great conditions for righties, although all 3 of my homers were by lefties, heh. Lost that one 11-7.

10-6 in 16 games now. Just when I think something isn't right (not enough walks or not enough power), it all balances out a few games later. Loving this set more every time I play.

newbie here....thought its time for me to try out some HOF sliders for my franchise as I'm currently 26-9 and could use some challenge. Is the latest Nemesis sliders up in Sports Connect, or at least the kind of gameplay you just described in your post, is that the one up in sportsConnect?

is there a way to make the in-game sliders 'stick' ? I have to keep changing them whenever I start a new game.

They should save for you. If not go to the save section and manually save them and you should be good.

Do you plan on making more adjustments soon, or are these the final version?

No real severe tweaks needed in my opinion. I would role with the latest set.

the save feature in the main menu saves the main menu sliders not the in-game sliders. I dont know how to make the in-game sliders stick.

Nemesis - your latest sliders are great!!!

With your sliders, I'm 1-3 my last 4 games after going 29-10 as my Angels franchise, and am riding a 3 game losing streak. The last game was nothing short of amazing. I'm playing against the White Sox with Javier Vasquez on the mound facing the Angels' Ervin Santana at home. Locked in a pitcher's duel with the score 1-1 on the top of the 7th, Nick Swisher reached first on a throwing error by second baseman Maicer Izturis. Then comes Carlos Quentin, and he blasted a two-run homer to left center giving the White Sox a 3-1 lead. Given the way Vasquez was pitching that night, I'm afraid that I'll be facing a 4-game losing streak for the first time this season.....

However, the Angels started to rally. Bottom of the 8th with one out, pinch-hitter Reggie Willits drops a blooper to left, chasing Vasquez out of the game. Left-hander Matt Thornton relieved Vasquez to face shortstop Erick Aybar, but the Angels countered by sending the left-hander Casey Kotchman to pinch-hit. It seems illogical to send a left-handed batter to pinch hit against a left-handed pitcher, but Kotchman, who didn't start the game to give him a much needed rest, has been raking left-handed pitching with a .356 BA. At the plate, Dotel made Kotchman foolish as he had him down 0-2. However, on the third pitch, Kotchman CONNECTED on a down-and-in slider to send the ball to the right field bleachers for a 2-run homerun to tie the game!!! WOOOHOOO!

After K-Rod retired the White Sox at the top of the 9th, Dotel, who relieved Thornton after the Kotchman homerun and retired the side 1-2-3, faced Garret Anderson who grounded a sharp single to right for the potential winning run....

Then up-step Torii Hunter, who worked Dotel on a full count on 8-pitches. On the 9th pitch, Hunter BLASTED a 2-run, walk-off homerun!!!!! Angels WIN! Just another halo victory!!!!

                    Linescore:

                    CHW 3 7 2
                    LAA 5 7 1

                    Awesome game!!!!

Sounds like you had a great game! You will see a lot of diversity with this slider set.

                          Have fun!

My first game with a Phillies franchise I hit 6 2B's and drew 2 walks. Should have been more walks but I swung at some junk early on.

I lost 6-1 as Hannan (WASH) was on early and got very confident with his pitches. He pitched into the 8th inning.

I struck out 8 of their hitters and walked 4 :-(

We struck out 8 times as well I think.

Nem04 its hop60, just played 3 game with your sliders, first two games i was beat in one run ball games. 3rd Game I hit the stuffing out of the ball, but I change the batting view ( High ). Does this change effect the sliders in anyway.
