I have only played a couple of games, but looking good. I used your slider set last year.......great job by you.

Off topic on slider set. Can you post your franchise settings after the roster update. I am looking for a way to play and sim without the cpu moving my lineups, asking about injuries, and trading away top players. I read your posts in franchise and appreciate your feedback.

    thanks

Ya, I can post my franchise settings as well. Basically just doing what Knight said with controlling all 30 teams, 1 profile called "Steve(me)" and the other 29 teams under "NO PROFILE"

Sliders are now uploaded online. Search for "Trinitys OS Vet Sliders"

Thanks for the feedback! Keep on playin and lemme know if you see anything that needs changed. Test over at least a good 15-20gms first though. Baseball is a funny sport, and takes a much larger sample than any other sports game imo...

If you download them off the SportsConnect, and then save them on ur ps3 as "sliders" or whatever. Make sure you load them first, THEN start ur season and they should be on there correctly.

Do you use classic pitching and guess pitch 1/4 like I do? Also, do you use API, and throw usually where the catcher suggests?? I'm just curious, cuz that's how I play and if you play the same way I think these sliders will work better, plus your feedback would be even better that way! Thanks!

I couldnt hit or anything then i switch to your sliders it worked great! granted it was only one game so far but ill keep posting results. i was 1-5 in my season till this. =( still the cpu is hitting alot of home runs and not much else. also the pitching speed helped me alot. i had it way to slow i was always to early, changed it to 8. perfect timing

Sometimes it's a pain cuz they get thrown out at 3rd trying to get there from first, but that's baseball right?

Personally, I have to play on auto cuz I am horrible at doing it manually lol...if you can do it manually, then I see no real point in going auto. Although auto is nice, it definately has its ups and downs. BUT at the same time I am able to throw the cpu out at 3rd sometimes, so IMO it's fair game!
The only thing I hated about auto baserunning in '09 was the CPU would get thrown out going from 1st to 3rd on a single. They'd run me out of a lot of innings so I had to learn how to do it myself. I got pretty good at classic baserunning last year. I prefer auto though so I don't have to worry about anything but hitting and stealing bases if I want. Is it happening too much or is it improved from last year?

I've been playing with auto the last couple of games and I'm having runners stop at 2nd on singles while going to 3rd if given the chance. I also had a guy stop at 3rd on a single because the outfielder got to it so quickly.

How's the logic been for you thus far? You think I'm going to run into any problems? I've found Skybox's sliders work for my skill level so I'm not looking for a new set but I want to get your take on this.

I had that problem last year too, but just figured it was fair cuz I'd throw the cpu out at third as well lol. As for this year, it's definately toned down ALOT, and much better baserunning logic. However, there are times where the runner will try for third when it's obvious he shouldn't.

I had a nice rally going one inning, and it killed my momentum, and stopped my scoring threat for more runs. Overall it's better, but not perfect. I can deal with it alot more this year compared to last though. But like I said, it's fair on auto cuz the cpu will do it too and you can throw them out at third every now and then.

Well sometimes players just make stupid decisions so I kind of like that, I just hated how often it happened last year.

Thanks for the info, I'm going to stick with it I think.

                          Re: Trinitys Veteran Slider Set!!

I liked these. First time I have used classic pitching. I threw 136 pitches and 64% were for strikes. I might have to bump my starters pitch stamina up a notch though as Harden had none left after about 80-85 pitches.

Another thing was that the cpu threw way too many 1st pitch strikes. That might just be John Lannan though. I will play about 20 games and average it out to see. Because of all the 1st pitch strikes, I had to protect the plate and could not drive up the pitch count. They took Lannan out after 6 2/3 after throwing just 72 pitches.

Final line was 2 runs, 8 hits, 0 errors for WAS(cpu) and 1 run, 7 hits, 1 error for TEX(me). I walked 5 and struck out 4 using Harden for 5 innings, Feliz for 3 innings and Francisco for 1 inning. CPU walked 0 and struck out 8 using Lannan for 6 2/3 innings, Walker for 1 inning, Bruney for 1/3 of an inning and Capps for 1 inning.

Good job so far and I will be playing a lot with these.

Awesome man, glad u like them! Did u play that with the cpu strike frequency set at 4?? I'm thinking it may need to go down to 3 or even 2 cuz the first strike % is high

Actually no I didn't. Forgot that you changed it in the 1st post. I had it at 5. I will bump it down and see how that works out.

                                Re: Trinitys Veteran Slider Set!!

Okay so after nearly giving up on MLB 10 I have decided to give these Slider settings a shot. Basically, I cannot hit in the game. I strike out 1 out of every 3 ABs. I have yet to draw a walk. And I am generally having a miserable time playing the game. I refuse to play on Rookie, sorry but hitting X to swing is just dull. But my attempts at playing on Veteran have been awful. I really feel as though default Veteran settings are uber hard. Granted I haven't played a console baseball game in years, but I am a gamer and refuse to accept that I can't hit the ball on the 2nd easiest setting.

My results using these Trinity settings... after 10 games...

                                .130 avg

There it is. Not getting any better.

So, is there a method to the madness of Guess Pitch? Do you guys guess on every single pitch or just some? Do you guess only location so you can see the little red dot if correct?

WHAT IS THE ANSWER? I am at my wit's end obviously.

                                Thanks
