I raised my human contact to 8 and have hit pretty well as I was struggling with it at 5. If I start to hit too well then I will just drop it down one notch to 7 and go from there. I left the cpu pitching sliders on the default as they seem pretty good. I also dropped the fielder speed slider back 2 from the default as it seemed too many balls where being run down in the outfield negating loopers and gappers. Still tinkering as things could change the more I improve. I also use guess pitch classic 1/4.

Updated for probably the LAST time. Definately done messing with sliders offensively for both human and the cpu. Fielding may need adjusting still, but highly unlikely.

wow i used your sliders today and holy crap did i ever have a good game. 12 hits for me 1 HR. and i tried classic pitching. I was playing the royals. but wow, i was up 5-3 in the 7th when slowey gave up 3 singles to start the inning so i brought in a reliever and he gave up a couple of hits to make it 6-5 royals. Then in the bottom 9th, i got on base with a single then a wild pitch. (only one of the game) hit a double to tie it then mauer hits a single up the middle for the winner!. Ill keep trying these, i did notice alot of hard hit balls for me tho. Ill see if they become an issue. (no soft rollers or pop ups) only one game so far tho!

Right on bro...Ya, I have had some damn good games with these. One game I was down 7-5, hit a HR ro tie it at 7 in the bottom of the 9th against Heath Bell. Then a ground rule double in the 10th to win it! Then last night I was playing the Braves(I am the Rockies), and just got lit up! Final score was 8-4, Braves had 15 hits without even batting in the 9th. I had 8 hits, one which was a pinch hit HR by Ryan Spilborghs that made it 5-4 in the 7th. But Braves came right back and scored 3 in the bottom half that inning.

Keep playing with them, I've seen a fair share of pop ups and soft hit balls, just depends on my timing. All in all, it's never going to be perfect, but these are giving me my best games to date, so I'll leave my sliders alone now.

I gotta admit, I thought I was gonna have way too much power with your new set. I just played one game with then, and though it was only one game I did not hit a home run (which isn't a bad thing). Just got done playing a 13 inning game.

BOS(me) 5 runs 15 hits 1 error vs. Cubs(cpu) 4 runs 7 hits 1 error

Beckett was amazing in this game. 7 1/3 innings pitched, 6 hits, 2 runs, 0 earned runs (stupid error from Pedroia), 0 BB and 10 K's. First time I got double digit K's with one starter since I've had this game. Bard, which for some reason I just suck with in this game, gave up 2 runs in 2/3 of inning. Papelbon didn't give up a hit and K'd 4 in 3 innings. Ramirez didn't give up a hit and K'd 2 in 2 innings for the win.

CPU pitched decent too striking me out 15 times in 12 2/3 innings.

I had 5 doubles (Ellsbury, Ortiz, Drew, 2 from Scutaro) and 1 triple (Cameron) in the game.

Strike % was high in this game but I think that had to do with the extra innings and everbody trying to hack away to win it with a long bomb.

I will play more with these and see how I like them compared to your original set with my tweaks.

Just played my 1st game of a Pirates 'chise with these and won 7-1 against the Dodgers. I hit 4 home runs: 2 with Steve Pearce, 1 with Garrett Jones and 1 with Ryan Doumit.

Zach Duke was awesome. 7 innings pitched 5 hits, 1 earned run, 2 BB's and 3 K's.

Saw my first home run review on Pearce's 2nd home run. It was awesome.

I need to lower user hitting sliders. I have been getting 10 plus hits in every game i've played. My last game I had 15 hits and 8 runs, 2 of those being dingers by Martin Prado.

Second game was a complete opposite of my first for about 6 1/3 innings.

Dodgers(cpu) 6 runs 11 hits 0 errors
Pirates(me) 5 runs 8 hits 0 errors

Clayton Kershaw was unhittable for the most part. He only allowed me to get 2 hits (nothing hit hard either) through 6 1/3 but then I got to him.

The Dodgers got to Paul Maholm quick. Matt Kemp hit a solo homer to lead off the game. Kemp then hit another solo shot off of Maholm in the 3rd. Belliard also hit a 2 run shot in the 3rd. They scored another run in the inning to make it 5-0. Maholm was done after 4. It stayed 5-0 until the 7th.

Garrett Jones hit his 2nd homer of the year in the bottom of the 7th, solo shot. Laroche walked, Pearce flied out and then Iwamura hit a 2 run home run to make it 5-3.

Andrew McCutchen got his first hit of the year with a solo home run in the 8th off of George Sherrill. 5-4.

Dodgers bring Broxton in in the 9th to close out the game. Pearce hit a single up the middle, Iwamura hit a sacrifice to move Pearce to 2nd. I brought in Ryan Church to pinch hit for Bobby Crosby and he hit a single to tie the ball game bringing in Pearce from 2nd.

Andre Ethier hit a solo homer in the top of the 10th and that was the winning run.

Power might be a little high but I am going to play all of April to test it out.

These are playing really good. After hitting 7 hr's in my first two games I haven't hit one in the next two.

Im seeing that as well. Im hitting for way to much power, i dont see whats getting us the many hits now with contact being at 0, is it the solid hits? im not sure how to tweek it down for less home runs, and such. so JayD i think your in the same boat as me, Cant hit on default but hit to much turned up a little. Let me know if you find you medium, or try mine on the next page.

yeah so after that one good game, ive been hitting the ball way to hard and its making the game to easy now. Im trying to figure out how to make it less power but keep the same amount of hits. Im hitting like 9 times a game but all 9 are almost all extra base hits or home runs. Im thinking of trying this

Looks like that would work united...if i may however...recommend not touching the user contact, power or solid hit sliders. I would lower timing down to 6 or 5 firrst before anything. On veteran with guess pitch 1/4, timing imo is the most important aspect of hitting. Raising it basically allows for more give, or lee way in ur timing. allowing for more hits on balls that normally wouldnt have been a hit. So try lowering that first without touching ajything else and see what happens...

Just to add tp that...the slight bit of off timing u are when hitting can be the difference in a HR, hit to the warning track, foul ball, or pop up. So timing is HUGE! lower that first, plahy a few games or so, and i can gaurantee you're hits per game will decrease!

Hey, I was thinking of maybe lowering the fielder's arm strength. They seem to get me at when i'm going from 1st to 3rd everytime (well stupid computer decision as I use auto baserunning) I was thinking of trying to put it down a notch.

Speaking of the baserunners.. don't u notice the computer still sends the runner eventhough the right fielder gets the ball just as soon as he's rounding 2nd, or maybe a couple feet before 2nd but they just keep on going around. Too aggressive by the computer don't u think lol.

Ya, the baserunning aggression is bad by cpu on this game. It was worse last year tho lol... I personally would turn arm strength down just cuz you wouldnt see any plays at home plate. Try turning BR speed up if anything, but then stealing is kinda easy haha... I just deal with it, and figure its fair that i get thrown out cuz i throw the cpu out at 3rd too lol
