Has anybody noticed alot of homeruns. I am playing as the yankees and have had alot of homeruns each game. I am using just timing for the swing. Do you think that is the cause or just the bronx bombers being themselves?

Try using Zone Hitting - and I'm sure some of it has to do with the fact that you are using the bombersComment

Love these sliders, my only problem is I can't hit worth a lick. I've tried all the different hit types and I feel zone hitting works best but I'm still only averaging about four hits a game. Any help would be great.Comment

If you give the command before your guy has the ball the animation usually plays out smoother... called pre-loading the throw.Comment

Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***
Yeah, I'm just not seeing that at all.......I just played Chicago and I'm in the 6th inning against NY and in the 15 innings I've played I've seen 1 diving play by the CPU. I am not having a lot of spectacular defensive plays by infielders or outfielders at all. They only happen once in a while.
Do you have the solid hits, fielder reaction and fielder speed EXACTLY as it is in the first post? If you guys are using the slider set partially - I can't help you if things are happening abnormally.
During the three games in question though, there were literally a minimum of 2-3 diving plays by the CPU team in each one. The reason this stuck out so much for me is because it seems as though my cpu controlled fielders (I use auto fielding by the way) never dive for balls while I'm pitching. I'm just gonna chalk this up as a string of bad luck type games where I hit balls to locations where it was within the fielder's success range for making diving plays.
As I recall, the majority of the infield god-like type plays were made by the shortstops. So maybe as I get better with my timing and start distributing my hits better (to the right side, up the middle, etc...) this phenomenon will go away.......stay tuned!!!XBL Gamertag: hoos4974

Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***
Hey guys just wanted to give you some info based on the 15 games into my season.
Not enough Fielding Errors. The cpu never makes a fielding error and through 15 I think they've had a total of 3 errors. Me on the other hand have about 7 errors but only one was a Fielding error the rest were on throws or by my catcher.
Stealing. I have not had a hard time stealing bases. I lead the league and steal at a 90 percent clip. Looking thru the whole league it seems like every team has good stealing percentages.
CPU steal attempts. I've only witnessed them attempt a steal 2 times in all 15 games.
Triples. I don't know what it is but I allow alot of triples. I'd say roughly 30 percent of them were my own fault by letting the ball go over my outfielders head but still seems like everytime the cpu hits the ball off the wall its a triple. It might be because I'm not getting the ball to teh cutoff fast enough.
With all that said I don't see how everyone is complaing about HR'S. I play on HOF hitting and pitching. I use timing and classic. I've hit 14 hr and have allowed 17 thru 15 games. That's a very realistic clip IMO. If you're letting up too many home runs then you need to pitch better. If you hit too many then you need to raise pitch speed. I really think it's as simple as that.
Well that's all I've got for now. I'm going to play another 10 games and comment again on what I see. These are some great sliders and great work by Psycho n TNK. Awesome job fellas!Comment

Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***
I just played my first games with these sliders, and I finished the game 8-6. I had 12 hits with 4 homeruns (might have been 5). I did do a fantasy draft so my hitting team is pretty good. I have Morneau, Tulo, Vlad, Stanton, Dominic Brown as my top power hitters.
I was using Analog hitting on all-star. I am going to give it a few more games to see if the homeruns go down, but if they do not what sliders can I switch to reduce the homeruns? Also, I was using guess pitch. I assume if I don't use that the homeruns would go down. The reason I do use guess pitch though is because whenever I don't I can't seem to get many hits.Minnesota Vikings- Minnesota Twins- Minnesota T-Wolves

Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***
Indeed, Guess Pitch is obviously user preference but is the one aspect of this game i find very arcadey...its not realistic in anyway shape or form to know exactly what pitch is coming/where or indeed whats not coming, it inflates offensive numbers unrealistically, i could go on, anyway...
At the moment, myself and TNK are extremely happy with where we are at and the ONLY slight change we may make is regarding Fielding Errors, they are possibly a little lower than we would like.
Overall they are playing really well, giving all the variation we could ever want whilst keeping it realistic...stay tuned.Comment
