    Great sliders, PB.

Played my first game last night - a 5-3 loss - and everything felt right on. I played on HOF, hitting 4 doubles and working 6 walks (K'd 7 times).

Pitching on HOF is tough. The CPU really works the count, and rarely swings outside of the zone. I think I ended up with 5 K's and 2 walks, but I probably should have pitched more carefully and walked more guys.

Pulse pitching still uses player attributes correct? I like to use the attributes of players as much as possible.

I am still not home from work, but how is the pitch speed with these? I am worried of it being too fast after playing on default to start the season. Granted I have been early on a lot of pitches, even fastballs.

I currently am at 8 for pitch speed. I went into batting practice mode and went up against a hard throwing pitcher and once I started making good timing I settled on that setting.

I reduced timing to 3 and kept pitching at default. Hitting feels better to me like this than increasing pitch speed.

Very much so, thats why i like it, uses ratings a lot as well as human input.

I dont want the games all decided by my finger skills or lack of them

Yeah, you will get used to it pretty quick, as has been said, go into batting practice and Timing/Contact mode and just practice drilling some heaters, it will become natural at that speed in the games then

Sure is. I didn't even drop human control & consistency and I still walk a tightrope out there. I can say I've had a little more success get the CPU to chase, although it takes a lot of effort & execution to set them up. I usually catch the CPU looking a few times a game as well.

I had 5BB & 6K in a six inning start with AJ Burnett, and tacked on a few more of each with the bullpen in a 7-6 win. In my last game, I lost 4-3 after a bullpen meltdown in the 8th, including walking in the fourth run (made it 4-2 at the time). Prior to the implosion, the Mets only run was a 434 bomb by David Wright when I missed my spot badly. I had pitched around him in previous ABs with Wandy Rodriguez, preferring to pitch to Ike Davis (L/L). One belt-high fastball over the plate reassured me it was the right move.

Yeah, I do as well. I think 2 of my 5 K's were of the "JD Drew" variety, i.e., watching a 3rd strike fastball down the middle.

my only change was pitch speed to 10, though I pretty much like these settings

Had a game Toronto (cpu) @ Atlanta. Atlanta lost 6-5. Toronto had 10 hits to Atlanta's 8. Toronto walked four times and Atlanta twice. I use classic pitching..game played great. Toronto also had 2 home runs and Atlanta had 1.

I've played 4 games with these sliders with a slight modification. Pitch speed is default. cpu and hum power is set to 4. I use timing hitting and meter pitching. So far I'm pretty impressed with these sliders. I'm also on all-star for both pitching and hitting. In the 4 games I played, I probably average about 9 hits per game with pretty accurate stats. The reason I bumped down the power one notch is because on all-star default there were way to many homers on both sides. Now it seems to be more accurate. Good job on the sliders!!!

I'm finding that stealing bases is too easy with these sliders. How can we balance the fielder's arms and speed with the speed of the base stealers to make it more balanced?

Like you, Psychobulk, I'm having a hard time deciding between all-star and hof difficulty. I'm using these sliders in my test RTTS trying to get the right settings before the OS rosters come out.

Why don't you just lower base steal ability.
