It determines how successful you are with your steals

These played great, I was sceptical about raising pitch speed to 8 but it helped somewhat with the pitch recognition suprisingly. I was a touch late sometimes after the Cards brought in their 98mph fastball thrower after I got rid of Jake Westbrook.

One thing, I'm finding pitching very easy on all-star, no matter what sliders. Bronson Arroyo with a CG shutout with 6 hits scattered, no walks and only abotu 85 pitches thrown. Will bump up to hall of fame.

Felt like these sliders provide more user offence, something I was struggling with before.

First off, a big thank you once again to PB for putting these up. Every year, I look for his set. And every year its pretty much plug n play. This set is no different.

With the exception of what sbmnky alluded to. I'm very comfortable with the default Pitch Speed on HOF. However, something no baseball game has ever been able to replicate to the level that MVP 2005 did was the bat-to-ball interaction and the realism within the timing window. Every year, The Show has gotten closer but not quite there. This year, out-of-the-box, its closer than ever but still falls a little short.

My personal feeling though, is that with the timing window opened up a bit, the versatility exists within what the devs have given us to replicate and exceed what MVP did 8 years ago. I'm going to see in BP if its true, but in the meantime, thanks again to PB and as someone who uses all Analog controls and have since they were introduced in The Show 11, I can vouch for these sliders translating very well to those controls.

I am too lazy to go up and read the other posts...but I have been getting picked off a lot with just taking 1 step lead.

I will be making base running ability back to 5 because I think it is influencing that. I noticed a lot more players with lower base running ability in then in the past, so lowering down make those guys sitting ducks even when you are not trying to steal.

Like you, Psychobulk, I'm having a hard time deciding between all-star and hof difficulty. I'm using these sliders in my test RTTS trying to get the right settings before the OS rosters come out.
One guy thinks it's too easy to steal and one thinks it's too hard....oh to be a slider maker..

Just got curb stomped by the world champs. Giants beat the Braves(me) 11-1. The Giants had 17 hits to the Braves 2. Matt Cain was dominant with the CG. He put so many pitches on the corners and I just couldn't do much. I havent been dominated like this yet so it was very encouraging to see that it is a possibility.

Anyone else using these with G'Mo's real life camera?

Haven't really been able to hit right with it, till I switched to it in the 3rd inning of my first game with the Yanks with these sliders.

Really having a blast with it. Smacked a double of the wall with Youk, doubled 2x with Tex, hit a two run single with Jeter, drew 3 walks, and smacked a solo shot off the 98mph throwing Daniel Bard with Cano(don't ya know). All in a 4-3 win over Boston.

Using the settings/sliders to the T right now, will update with future games while waiting on OSFM.

I have used that camera view and have played 3 games with the Yanks.

                    Summary of all three

                    Yanks/Toronto - Won 6-4. I had 11 (Jays 10, 1 HR) hits, 1 HR, 1 2B, 2 BB's. CC had a strong 7 Innings, but Joba almost blew it for me.

                    Yanks/RedSox - Won 4-1. I had 9 Hits, 2 HR, 3 BB's and 1 3B. Sox had 9 hits and couldnt capitalize on their opportunities

                    Yanks/Tigers - Lost 7-2. I had 7 hits, 0 HR, 2 2B's, 1 BB. Tigers had 13 hits, 2 HR's and 3 2B's. Pettitte got rocked and Verlabder dominated with 10K's in 8 innings.

All games had a 62-65% strikes thrown by the computer

G'Mos view takes some time to get used to, but it really fels like you are up at the plate once you get the hang of it. Also, I keep the pitch speed at 5, because I feel the ball gets up on you fast in this camera view.

Played my first game with these sliders and was a good game but it really was my first fun game since I bought it. Played the Padres vs Astros..I know Astros, I'm such a noob anyway pulse with timed hitting as Psycho said and lost 5-3. Street blew a 3-1 lead in the 9th. I had 2 doubles, a triple and a HR. I will say this catcher 2 is not bad because the pitcher is closer you pick up his arm action, so I didn't swing at a lot of bad pitches. Maybe just me but it worked. Cashner pitched a great game..I know Astros in Petco is like having Omar Vizquel try to hit a homer out of the Grand Canyon but still pitched well strike pct wise. Going to do 20 games with it then OSFM should be out, great job PB !

Yeah I know what you mean, but keep using it and believe it or not you'll soon be early on everything. I just moved it up to 10 for my last three games.

A 3-0 2 hit loss to Verlander, A 3-0 2 hit 2BB loss to Masterson, and a 3-1 win over Matsuzaka with a opposite field jack with Granderson.

I'm using rather similar settings and am going to try these out.

The one thing I feel like is that changing contact, power, and timing from default somehow affects AI. Mainly, it seems like the changes they made to AI batters swinging and missing on outside pitches goes away and it plays more like previous editions. However, keeping those three settings at default keeps that (welcome) change in the game.

Don't know if I am making sense, but was wondering if anyone else has noticed this.....

I'm just seeing too many Hr's and doubles at the moment.
I will lower power by 1 and see if things improve.

PshycoBulk, having a blast with your sliders with my modifications. I've played about 12 games now. The only thing I noticed is the opposing pitcher seems to throw the ball in the dirt a lot. Is anybody else having this problem? Not a big deal...But I would still keep the strike frequency the way you have it. Your sliders are awesome!!!
