Not a bad idea, but Kershaw already plays pretty dominant with the ratings that he has. He consistently wins NL Cy Young in sims and has made off with NL MVP a time or 2 in sims.

One start his control would be excellent(no walks in 7+ innings) & the next start he would walk 3+ in 7+ innings. He would rarely get frustrated though no matter what. He's a great kid & has a solid mindset in real life & on the mound.

Did you read the story about what he did during this past off-season? Where he was living out of a motor home? Not that he was poor but to get away you could say. I thought that story was pretty cool! I can find the link if you haven't read it. Thanks!
I always have been a fan - I read something about him the year he got drafted, seems like he could be our future ace or #2 in TO

Like I said before maybe you want to take the best of both - that was what I did and created the Hybrid and decided to share it with the world. I think most will be very happy with our balance

See one big problem in what you are saying - if you have too many high prospects, it will force current players with high potentials to retire early - the players available in the draft are usually based on the percentage of A's B's C's etc you have in the roster - I doubt you want to see a guy in his 30's retire early because of a prospect

Everyone has ideas on rookies, progressions, and ratings.

The one thing I would argue however, is that there is not a person on this planet who understand, loves, and enjoys baseball, that feels that Jake Peavy is a better pitcher, and a higher-rated asset than Jon Lester.

      No one.

      Rosters should reflect that.

Peavy gets a higher number based solely on his stuff, not his /9 or important numbers - that is where this game is flawed and overalls while they mean something towards a player hitting potential - that is all they mean something towards - when you play with the roster in more then a few games you will see that it does work out properly and stats show that - I don't think anyone saw him regressing as much as he did in Boston this year either - one thing we don't do is take ratings down too much simply because a hot month can bring a guy back to at least close to a norm

Good point, I didn't think about that. Thats probably why I had Glen Perkins retire at 34 once because of a prospect underneath him with C+ potential. I had no idea why it had happened lol

No guarantees that my reasoning is why - but it was more then likely that the Twins had too many A's and that is how the roster gets balanced when draft picks are signed

From what I have heard it seems if a guy is getting around 28-30 and up for contract and u wanna keep him around u need to Ink him to a long term big deal.. If he is under contract say 10 years at 28 then he will stay.. Granted he is gonna be pricey and degraded because usually around 34-35 guys start degrading insanely fast.

Sorry if this has been asked and I missed it--any rerates to fielding and/or running ratings?

Fair point. If you guys are checking every 5 minutes, you're bound to be pretty sad pandas. Not that soon. We're talking days-to-weeks. Not now-to-5 minutes from now.

Willard & Teeds im not sure how you guys are keep up with the teams transaction this year but teams likes bluejays and pirates must make it really difficult .The tigers just lost( Ramon Cabrera) wavier claim to the pirates.Might want to add drew longley for addtional catcher depth.

We've kept up with them by essentially creating a new roster set. We added Greiner instead of Longley. I don't think Longley is ummm "long" for pro ball with those offensive numbers.
