Re: 2014 OSFM HYBRID UPDATE - V3
Teeds just curious i recall you said you added some missing AA twins ,Athletics pitching prospect is (twins)tyler duffey, pat dean, jason wheelers And (A's) Nate long ,Tanner peters are they included. As i stated on my previous post the roster are going to be release by september its so time consuming .
I'm sorry but I've asked before without getting an answer - what's with the bold in all of your posts? You make a good job making your post stand out that way but teeds, Willard and WTNY answers all of the questions anyway.Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: 2014 OSFM HYBRID UPDATE - V3
I know some of you guys are really into 2014 draft picks, so here's a complete list of who made it...
Jacob Lindgren, P - NYY 2nd Rd
Casey Gillaspie, 1B - TB 1st Rd
Max Pentecost, C - one of TOR 1st Rd
Carlos Rodon, P - CWS 1st Rd
Derek Hill, OF; Spencer Turnbull, P; Grayson Greiner, C - DET 1st-3rd Rds
Brandon Finnegan, P - KC 1st Rd
Nick Gordon, SS; Nick Burdi, P - MIN 1st and 2nd Rd
Alex Jackson, OF - SEA 1st Rd
Brady Aiken....oh, wait...no
Michael Conforto, OF - NYM 1st Rd
Aaron Nola, P - PHI 1st Rd
Kyle Schwarber, C - CHC 1st Rd
Kyle Freeland, P - COL 1st Rd
Trea Turner, SS - SD 1st Rd
Tyler Beede, P - SF 1st Rd
Some teams getting more than one was due to roster flexibility (none of us are Tigers/Twins fans). Other teams not getting 1 in was due to other more deserving, established, and/or interesting players being kept.
teeds also put Cubans Daniel Carbonell and Rusney Castillo in as well as out-of-nowhere prospect Willy Adames.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: 2014 OSFM HYBRID UPDATE - V3
You can always add players you want from the vault. I'm sure there are quite a few Kolek's to choose from. Just add him or anybody else you want to this roster set once it's released. That's what I'm going to do. I already have saved quite a few 2014 draft picks so they'll be ready to go for the ones not provided in the roster set.NCAA- GO VOLS
NBA- GO CELTICS
MLB- GO BRAVES
NFL- GO COWBOYS
NHL- GO PREDATORS
NASCAR- Chase Elliott
MLS- LA Galaxy

Re: 2014 OSFM HYBRID UPDATE - V3
Can't say for sure, but I think Kolek isn't include because
A) He is very raw and will not be in the big leagues until 2017 at the very soonest
And/Or
B) Miami all ready had 90 guys on the roster
But like Tony said, you can download a Kolek from the vault and replace a 27 yr old D pot guy..Chicago Cubs
Michigan Wolverines
Thanks Peyton. #18Comment

Again, considering the enormous amount of player creation to keep up with injury replacements and regular promotions, and the 90-player limit, there is only so much you can add in.
Kolek has a 4.50 ERA along with 11 BBs in 16 IP in rookie ball and he doesn't turn 19 until December. No doubt OSFM will add him next year even though he's 5-7 years away and a possible RP once he gets to Miami (and then Loria trades him).
For those who need Kolek, you can import him or use a different roster.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: 2014 OSFM HYBRID UPDATE - V3
Just a little pre-release teaser for you guys that have been following along (we are still looking at Friday being most likely).
We DO suggest not to rely TOO much on overall ratings because they are weighted by what the game thinks is most important at each position...but, they can be fun if used properly and can give you a general sense of things. So, without further ado, here's the Top 25 OVR in the upcoming release...
Code:1. Clayton Kershaw, 99 (would probably be 106 if the scale went up that high) 2. Troy Tulowitzki, 99 3. Mike Trout, 98 4. Robinson Cano, 98 5. Giancarlo Stanton, 97 6. Miguel Cabrera, 97 7. Carlos Gonzalez, 97 8. Felix Hernandez, 96 9. Adrian Beltre, 95 10. Jose Bautista, 95 11. Jose Abreu, 94 12. Chris Sale, 94 13. Dustin Pedroia, 94 14. Paul Goldschmidt, 94 15. Yadier Molina, 94 16. Craig Kimbrel, 94 17. Evan Longoria, 93 18. Carlos Gomez, 93 19. Buster Posey, 92 20. Adam Wainwright, 92 21. Ben Zobrist, 92 22. Josh Donaldson, 92 23. Albert Pujols, 92 24. Edwin Encarnacion, 92 25. Nolan Arenado, 91

Re: 2014 OSFM HYBRID UPDATE - V3
I thought that sliders did not affect simmed games, only played games. However, a reputable source who did extensive testing on that is disputing it so now I'm not certain. In the past, it was only the injury slider that I had to worry about but I know that they did something with that this year so you shouldn't need to have a sim slider and a playing slider. Now, I'm not sure if that might have had an affect, though?Last edited by rjackson; 08-28-2014, 09:27 AM.Comment

Re: 2014 OSFM HYBRID UPDATE - V3
Yeah, it looks like the scaling could be different anyway, so sliders would be awesome to get, especially as I play a lot of the games."The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws."
