Oh, did you guys do like potentials for all prospects? I know some that are like a 70 overall end up being D potential, SDS rosters, so annoying.

Re: Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster Project (Official Thread)
If you take a look at low level minor league players on many rosters. There are guys that have 0 MLB Service time, D potential, that are Mid 70s overall.
I don't know about you, but I think there is something wrong when there are guys who have never appeared in a major league game that are in the 70s, when half of some teams MLB rosters are not even Mid 70s overall or higher.
I have been dying to make a franchise, the inclusion of prospects is pretty good this year by SDS standards. But the overall issue with minor leaguers makes the roster unusable for long term franchises IMO.Comment

Re: Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster Project (Official Thread)
I think the actual issue is that there are some 70 overall potential players who are in the minors, whose potential are less than their overall. Unless they are over 30, it doesn’t make much sense.

Re: Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster Project (Official Thread)
Because they’ll only regress. Also, D potentials should be reserved for career minor leaguers only. Any player on a top 30 list should be at minimum 73 or 74 (which is roughly what I deem as “MLB Ready” since it corresponds w/ a “role player” tier). Most other guys outside of those lists should be 70-72ish representing guys who likely will never make the majors, but may break through and get a shot in the right situation
Potentials should look like: C > B >> A >> DComment

One note about this for everyone is that only the Cubs are completely edited. The rest of the teams still need their prospects to be edited with updated ratingsComment

Re: Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster Project (Official Thread)
I was wondering, what was your reasoning for D potential for Mason Martin and Hudson Head on the Pirates?
Thanks for the hard work!Comment
