Just looking at the Preview video, does anyone else think the ratings might be too inflated on these? Curious how it work out for the season and future seasons.

Re: Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster Project (Official Thread)
With a major re-rating project like this, do you need a customer sliders set? I know TrueSim has released a custom slider set for use with his rosters in the past (and another separate set of sliders for when you sim games), so will a revised slider set need to accompany these ratings?Comment

These have been built based on simulations using base slidersComment

Re: Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster Project (Official Thread)
After further review, what stood out to me were some players that received ratings bumps that seemed premature or undeserving. For example Stroman and Schwindel on Cubs but I now see you also lowered ratings for several players to balance it a bit. Interesting to see how Keegan Thompson finishes, as a LRP he has been the Cubs best pitcher this year. Looking forward to this roster.Comment

Re: Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster Project (Official Thread)
I think the best way to view any custom re-rate of rosters is to do it based on whatever system you have. Make a system and stick to it. That'll even everything out. SDS box rosters are just really bad. I'm a lifelong Pirates fan and am excited for Henry Davis (in 2023 or so), yet he is a 73 ovr after playing exactly 20 MiLB games in A ball. It's laughable.
I say this having done it for years and really obsessing over the rosters being accurate on every level....it takes a special type of baseball lunatic (that's a compliment) to get into the guts of SDS' ratings and sort it out to make a save file that can have longevity and works in gameplay and sim styles.
So thx in advance Lion. I know the feeling and pain of trying to perfect those bad boys.

As far as Schwindel, I integrated projections into his calculations. Tbh, I looked for way to lower his overall, but the numbers just add up the way they did
For Stroman, he has consistently been a 3-4 WAR pitcher with some plus attributes in BB/9 and HR/9. His 2019 and 2021 seasons also had optimal FIPs. Definitely a frontline starter and the rating reflects thatComment

Re: Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster Project (Official Thread)
Per Lion on his Discord, he has 20 teams left to edit, each team taking 30-45 min to finish. So today is probably not the day.
We do this every year with rosters, just let them be finished when they are finished. They won’t come any sooner or later than the people doing them can make happen.
Happy franchising everyone!!
