Andrelton Simmons is a HoF level defender. Best I’ve ever seen. My favorite player haha- Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster out now! (MLB 25)

What do you recommend the trade slider be set to? I’ve read that they’re way too many trades between cpu controlled teams.Comment

Re: Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster Project (Official Thread)
Because the way my tiers are set up? <70 is the equivalent of a AAA player. The purpose of calling a player a top prospect is that they are better than career AAA players
For reference, a player who is completely league average across all metrics will be a 76 overall. Rating potentials of top 30 prospects at a minimum of 74 still puts them below that average MLB player level
So your rosters have a crap ton of players rated in the 90s and 80s? I mean, if you're talking about a league average player being a 76 and MLB is full of players who are better than league average it only makes sense that you'd have a crap ton of players rated in the 90s and 80s, right?
Also, I disagree that because a player is on a teams top 30 prospects that he's a top prospect. But I'll bow out of this conversation now cause we're just not going to agree on how players should be rated. I'll await further comment until after I see the final product.Atlanta Braves

There’s gonna be a million basic *** rosters out there, if this one isn’t for you, that’s okay! I know the guy is putting in tons of effort, check out Cycloniac’s roster as well if you’re not interested in this one. Otherwise just play with the SDS rosters you have currently..
Also, ratings are meaningless. This is about getting players in this game to replicate what they do on a 3 year average in real life. The rating is just a number..

I’ve never really messed with it because I always forget to change it back come trade season. But I would at least suggest 0 or 1 for the start of the season, 3-4 after the draft, 6-7 start of July, 10 during the final week of JulyComment

Lol definitely no. A vast majority of players fall in the 73ish to 83ish range. Beyond that, they are very scarce. Cracking 80 wasn’t necessarily easy to do.
You should really look at the original post for a tier breakdown to understand what players of certain calibers will fall into. My YouTube also has a couple previews out where you can see the top 10 players of every roster and I highlight individual ratings of the top pitcher and hitter on each teamComment

Beyond excited for these rosters, but I’ve had a question that I have wanted to ask. Do you have an explanation why Tim Anderson would be rated higher than Yoan Moncada, as well as a B potential vs A? This isn’t a complaint, but just a legitimate question that I would like to know your logic.Comment

I could be wrong but individual ratings may be better but the game loves to boost/ lower ratings based on the position they play. It’s strange I know..
Again, could be wrong but I think this is one explanation for it.

Moncada had a down 2020 season and early 2021 due to complications from COVID which dragged down some of his number for calculations. However, when healthy, Moncada has tapped into that consensus number 1 overall prospect upside (5.6 fWAR in 2019). Tim Anderson is great and he’s consistent, but he’s never topped 4.3 fWAR in a season (thus capping his potential at an 88)Comment

Super excited for such an in-depth roster! Quick question, upon release, will the roster be updated with transactions leading up to 4/22/22? Like FA signings and for example some of the contract extensions players have signed this season?Comment
